Horrible
I booked the hotel for ONE whole week and didn't even stay past the first night. The pillows were flat as a pancake. The bed had human hairs on the sheet. The tub had leaking/running water that continually drip. The towels were like sand papers; ...
29 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
The first thing I noticed upon arrival at Americas best value was about ten bags of garbage in various locations around the front of the hotel. It was well after check in time but they were still obviously cleaning up from quite the night beforehand. Two of the rooms near mine had cases of empty beer bottles stacked outside as well. As I approached the room I noticed the window was open without a screen and could smell the overpowering imitation pine sol cleaner from about five feet away . I can only imagine the maids dumped it on the carpet to give it the illusion of cleanliness. It smelled so bad that I had cranked the fan in the bathroom and the air conditioning and went out for dinner as my lips were turning numb and throat was getting hoarse. On my way home from dinner I realized that exactly one block from my hotel was a giant prison. Therefore the America's Best Value was where people stay when they visit there friends and relatives in prison. Apparently they also stay up late and make lots of noise, like opening their doors and shutting them about 30 times in an hour at 3am. This held true every night even though different people appeared to be staying in the rooms every night. Oh yes and the shower was broken, it was a hand held shower and where it attached onto the wall was broken so I had to find some wire in my car and rig it up which made for a pretty bad shower situation. This was unfortunate but, the worst part might have been the air conditioning unit though which was very loud and clunky sounding I kept it running to drown out the sounds of the other patrons but it was so loud in itself with it's constant stopping and starting that it actually woke me up when the people were not. It did not have a fan option just air conditioning so the room was freezing in my attempts to drown out the noise. My husband and I slept about 4 hours in four days. I would not recommend you stay at this hotel unless you are interested in having a party all night while you visit your friend in jail. The man running the desk kept checking people into the rooms surrounding mine at all hours of the night which I thought was quite thoughtless considering his walls sounded as though they were made of rice paper. I can say that the bed was really comfortable though a nice pillow top.

Mediocre
The rooms are clean, the size of a shoebox, towels are as thin as a kleenex, bed sags and feels very old, pillows are worse, furnishings are nice, everythiing in a very compact area, and bathrooms are old but clean. I would equate to a motel 6,...
