Engaging one story property recently remodeled in 2000. All rooms have queen beds and offer exterior corridors. It is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the motel to visit the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

41 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
This is the most affordable place to stay that I found in Watsonville, and it met all my needs very well. The place is shaped like a well lighted horse shoe and all entry of cars passes the office, so there is a sense of security. The small rooms are back-to-back with a parking bay for two cars between them. The building is one story, so there is no one walking above you. During our stay we had peace and quiet, which I have found is not guaranteed by paying higher prices. We slept with the fan running so this provided sufficient constant white noise to cover all other normal sounds. It had one of those standard heater/AC/fan units under the window. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, iron and board, TV with cable/HBO (and a low max volume), but no coffee maker. For a two day stay they gave us two tiny soaps, and plenty of towels. I'm sure you could get more soap from the front desk. You can also get ice from the front desk. Our room was very clean, though the carpet was well worn with some bleaching by the window (not an issue for us). The place is family run, and very pleasant. It is easily located close to the freeway, and in a good neighborhood. Within a block, there is a Taqueria and Norma's, which is a great breakfast place. It is close to historic downtown, and every kind of shop you could need is a short drive north on Freedom Blvd. We both would stay here again.

Okay
Clean, nice people ran it.Way off my beaten track, semi-scary neighborhood. It is a typical low price motel with no frills interior, white walls, springy beds, and a cramped parking lot, but on the plus side the people who ran it were nice and it...
