Horrible

motel satisfaction. It just wasn't an enjoyable stay, bad location, right off of I70. Megnetic room strip scanned poorly and hotel had a musty unkept feel about it. electrical outlets in room did not work and TV was to low.
I am not likely
to return to the Americas Best Value Inn-Lawrence.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Good
The hotel is decent. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. It's nothing fancy, but it serves the purpose. My only complaints - the outside doors stuck so you had to use the front door and the TV needs to be a little bigger so you can read ...

Upon check-in, the front desk acted like my confirmation number meant nothing. On inquiring about the free high-speed Internet, the front desk said it was completely wireless and required no encryption key (very odd), upon trying to connect without success, the front desk informed me I needed a special box which they would issue to me so I could connect to the Internet that comes through the electrical wiring (far from wireless). The guest who was parked next to me had all of his gas siphoned out overnight, even though we were both parked near the well lit front door. The towels had stains, the vanity sink drained very slow, and it had a dirty coffee pot in the room.

The Golden Rule is strictly a budget motel, but it was clean. The room had a large TV. The mattress was fine, but don't expect much in terms of decor. The continental breakfast consisted of muffins, juice and coffee in the small lobby. It was a decent value for the money.
