Rooms are pathetic. Hotel is really bad. We were looking for a place to sleep for two nights. We checked in at around 1.00 A.M after driving for 6 hours, however as soon as we checked in the room we found it was terribly bad. The sheets where torn, but since we were so tired we decided to give it a try and move out to another hotel next day. But at around 2.30 A.M in the morning I woke up with loads of bed bugs all around me in the bed. After arguing with the guy on the front desk for like half hour he agreed to return our money back. We then had to find another place in the middle of the night and had to pay a lot more than a better deal we would have found over the internet if it was not for this hotel.

DO NOT go here! The pictures are 100% misleading! We booked a king size bed/non smoking room. We did NOT receive that! To begin with, when we arrived the police were there. Not good.

I personally visited America's Best Value Inn at 822 W. Rt. 66 in Flagstaff, Az and Sam the manager was very nice. He gave me a tour of the newly renovated/newly painted rooms there by my request. I wanted to help. (I had previously read very negative reviews about this particular motel and warned him of this shown on the internet.) He was very aware of them.
Since those reviews this motel is NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT (Sam's). I saw brilliant turquoise, white and sunset orange walls in this simple, desert style, "roomy" room. It had a large countertop and sink area to the rear which was connected to a moderately large bathroom with another sink, toilet and full size tub/shower. It was very clean with brand new carpeting and a comfortably firm king size bed. The indoor heated kidney shaped pool was yet to open in 2 weeks. (The roof was finishing up repairs from damage suffered during a snowstorm the previous winter.) The view out the back was of the Ponderosa pines on small mountainside.
I came to stay at this inn hoping the pool repairs were finished, but since it wasn't, Sam good-naturedly directed me to Motel 6 (with an outdoor pool) which was also reasonably priced for a Thursday and Friday night. Also it was nearby Pulliam Field Airport.
*** Please give this "Best Value" the chance it needs. Sam's been working hard, doing a fine job there. Good spot to stay for a good price! ***
He also sent me across the street to the original 50's style Galaxy Diner complete with reasonably priced meals (good!) including old fashioned ice cream sodas and an original rainbow jukebox with all the hits from 50's & 60's to play! VERY NOSTALGIC. Clean and refurbished on the inside. Don't let the weather beaten outside of it scare you away nor the broken clocks out there. (Remember the movie "Back to the Future" 's broken clock?) Step into the past inside. Great service/friendly staff/great T-shirts to buy to remember ol' Rt. 66 hwy.'s by-gone days! "God Bless! ...and all His Best to you & yours, Sam!"
