Stayed with my husband during Festival of Arts. Other hotels nearby were around $250/night, we paid $189/night on a saturday. Close walk to the beach (across PCH). Continental breakfast was very good. We will go back for sure.

Location is somewhat away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but if you like to walk through beautiful North Laguna, or don't mind taking the frequent local transportation into the main part of town, you'll like it here.
There's a very quiet, almost secluded beach across PCH and a short walk down the hill.
The bagels, pastries, etc. available in the lobby in the morning are enough to tide you over until lunch, and ALWAYS a refill on coffee all day long.
I've been there nearly a dozen times, and stay every return visit.

We found this place 3 yrs. ago on our annual trip to Laguna Festival of Arts. It's not fancy, but the location, price and awesome service keep us coming back. (He remembers us from a once-a-year visit!). It's about one block from the last festival tram stop so out of the bustle but convenient to get to everything. It might not be an "8" in the strictest sense, but the cozy, friendly feel and service outweigh the limited amenities.

The manager is fantastic and really delivers!!! Our every need was anticipated. Impeccable customer service. Friendly. Really clean rooms, filtered tap water, jacuzzi tub, underground parking, danishes and coffee. Walk to the best public cove in Laguna Beach. Heated pool for the kids. The Manager makes it so perfect, it's why we keep going back. We tell all our family, friends, and co-workers about this utterly affordable gem.
