With all the rooms in town booked, we had no choice. I had read all of these reviews online, and thought - well it can't be that bad. OK - here goes - roaches (bugs) were pouring out of the walls. I pulled open the dresser drawer and a million roaches scurried away. The sheets were obviously used and filthy. I can not believe that this motel is allowed to remain open - Oh yeah - the maintenance man was in the dumpster, drunk, drinking beer. I had to go to Walmart to get fabreeze candles and roach killer, and something to cover up the stinking, filthy bedding - if you find yourself in my situation - it is better to sleep in your car - or bunk in your kids dorm. This is something that you might expect in the 3rd world, or perhaps in skid row, flop house kind of environment. Shame on this hotel chain! - Oh yeah - I paid 90 bucks for the night.

Horrible
This hotel needs a thorough cleaning!! Furniture in the rooms is very dated and grungy. The price to stay here is very inexpensive....I would recommend it only to those on an extremely limited budget that have no other place to stay.
My mother-in-law booked two rooms online for my husband, herself and me. With a price of $70 plus tax, we incorrectly assumed it would be a reasonable night sleep. We didn't expect to be pampered by any means, but we expected safe conditions. I have photographs of the broken lock, the holes in the walls, the stained furniture and carpet, the moldy showers and the mold in the ice bucket. The room we were originally given were missing half of the light bulbs, the air conditioning and phone did not work, the wall fixtures and curtain rod were broken, the sheets were so thread bare that you could see the pillow and mattress beneath, etc. After disussing this with the staff, he still tried to say there wasn't anything wrong and tried to say we "used" the room (we merely pulled back the gross comfortor to see what was on the sheets). The styrofoam cups looked used and were not covered. The ice bucket was missing out of our original room, but was present in the changed room--but was full of mold. My husband had an allergy attack from the dust. I will be contacting the health department and the chain owners after writing this review. I didn't expect luxury, but I expected a healthy night stay. (There were no other rooms in Carbondale this particular night....trust me, we called!)

48 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
This is the worst hotel I have seen. It is unkept, it stinks, furniture is gross, no ammenities like it is advertised. Staff rude, would not give reciepts, we checked out immediately, but was told they have a 15 minute rule and we would be charged for that night, obviously this happens alot to them. Please do not even think about staying here. I would sleep in my car before I would stay there. This place should be shut down. I am contacting every place I can so I can save people from the terrible experience we had. Do not stay here!!! They should be ashamed of themselves for calling this a hotel. It is a dive...a dump!!!!!
