AmericInn Charlevoix Hotel - Page 1

I had an extremely frustrating experience when I attempted to reserve a room at the Americinn of Charlevoix. I was initially told that an early check-in was a possibility, and was instructed to call closer to my date of arrival. When I did so, I was very rudely informed that an early check in was not feasible at their hotel. Furthermore, I was told that I had 3 reservations in my name when I only reserved a single room. When I informed the manager that I had only made a single reservation, she suggested that I was lying. I asked her why I would reserve 3 rooms for myself on the same day at the exact same time (information the manager obtained from her computer). She stated that this was common practice by people and her computer did not make a mistake. I was thoroughly disgusted with this entire conversation. She agreed not to charge me for all three rooms, but continued to argue that I had indeed reserved 3 rooms. Upon our arrival, I noticed that one of the pillows was soiled and had hairs on the pillowcase.I will never stay at this hotel again; I advise others to keep away as well.

The floor in the poolroom was very rough and hurt my feet, but the room was nice and we enjoyed the Jacuzzi. I wish breakfast would have been served until ten instead of nine a.m.
