ME AND MY FIANCE STAYED AT AMERISTAY IN WILMINGTON 5600 CAROLINA BEACH RD FROM 7/4/08 - 7/6/0/8. WE STAYED IN A "SIGNATURE SUITE" (WHICH I EXPECTED TO BE ON OF THE TOP OF THE LINE ROOMS, JET TUB PRIVATE BALCANY OVERLOOKING THE POOL) FOR $152.00 A NIGHT AND HAD TO BATTLE WITH ROACHES.... WE KILLED A TOTAL OF 4 ROACHES OUR STAY FROM FRIDAY UNTIL SUNDAY. THE FRONT DESK GUY WAS A ASSHOLE, "JAY" WHO WAS SUPPOSE TO BE THE MANAGER OVER DWIGHT MANSHIP (SO DWIGHT) TOLD ME WAS A ASSHOLE. HE RETURNED MY CALL AND WOULD NOT IDENTIFY HIS POSITION, BUT DWIGHT DID OFFER ME A GOOD DEAL ON MY NEXT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. YEAH RIGHT ASSHOLES YOU HAVE ROACHES AND IM NOT TAKING THOSE PEST HOME WITH ME SO SORRY, BUT FATT CHANCE. BUT TRAVELERS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE AT LEAST, AFTER THE ROACHES TOOK OVER OUR ROOM THE THE WEEKEND OF THE 4TH OF JULY THEY FUMIGATED THE ROOM THE DAY AFTER WE CHECKED OUT!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PAY THE $50 OR $60 XTRA DOLLARS AND GO TO A NAME BRAND PLACE.

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel, We had a jacuzzi suite and when we returned from the Azalea festival parade, I got in the jacuzzi and it was well worth it. Every enjoyed their very nice Indoor pool as well.

Horrible
Tried to make a reservation by phone since my mother had previously visited and negotiated a special rate. The person on the phone claimed she had never spoken to anyone there and the person on the phone was discourteous and rude.
Why didn't I find this hotel sooner??

I usually visit Wilmington twice a month and stay the weekend. Ameristay has been overall the best for value and the best for amenities. This is one of the best hotels there. Nothing wrong with this place at all!!! The rooms were outstandingly clean ...
