We were moved from one room to the one next door. Apparantly, the room was booked to another party as well as to us. Also the air conditioner was not in working order. Thankfully, it was a nice, cool day so we could open the windows. The shuttle

What a beautiful hotel!!! I felt like I'd gone back to the 1930's era and expected Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn to walk around the corner! Beautifully redone, immaculate, and the friendliness of the staff was so welcoming. We'd go back in

Excellent
I am originally from Milwaukee and had to come home for my buddy's wedding. I booked a room at this hotel, as I am a fan of the art deco style and the amenities seemed very nice. I was not disappointed. The food was one thing I will always...

i have stayed in many hotels that cost half the price and still were better service than this hotel. The things we ran in to were the bell hop kicking our neighbors out next door at 5-6 am (and not being quiet about it). We also had the house keeper knocking on our door many times even though there was a privacy tag out on the door. We were suppose to have a stocked wet bar .... and didnt. our lights stoped working at about 9 in the morning and i had to go to the bathroom and take a shower in the dark. These are only the major problems i had with this hotel! There were many other small problems that i also had ... i would definitely NOT suggest staying here. on top of all of those things happening they wouldnt discount our room in the end.

The Ambassador Hotel is a recently remodeled art deco hotel. Although at a distance from downtown, it offered free shuttle service to and from every location we wished to visit. The shuttle drivers were very courteous and knowledgeable about the area and
The art deco nature of the hotel was very cool. As a jewelry artist it inspired me to do some retro styling for some new pieces.
I am very likely
to return to the Ambassador Inn at Marquette.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel has been beautifully renovated into an Art Deco style hotel. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. There is a great coffee shop (find it on your own) that serves some of the very same foods on the restaurant menu and at far less than half the price. My favorite spot was the coffee shop!
Upon check-in and arrival to my room I noticed two hangers in the closet with tags on them. I called the front desk and asked about the tags and she replied they were robes. There were no robes I explained and she asked that I check the drawers which I did and still no robes. She asked if I wanted a robe but I declined as I normally bring my own. During my entire week long stay nothing else came up about the "robes". Upon check-out I used my Visa check/debit card for my room charges instead of the card on file. I also took the two tags down and again reminded the clerk there was no robes. The clerk replied in agreement stating there was a note there and there would be no charges.
A few days after my business trip I was preparing my expense report and noticed a $200. charge on my account. I called and was told it was for (you guessed it) two robes. I went through the whole event again with the clerk and as firmly told the housekeeper said there was 2 robes so I would be paying for 2 robes! I again went through the entire events and then her toned changed, she apologized and reversed the charges.
Now, I had been called a liar, considered a thief, and then pardoned with over $300, in bank fee's and th exhaustion and humiliation of the entire event. I was offered a free stay and an upgrade. Hmmmm, what part of that corrects the hotel staff issues? How does that saying go??, fool me once shame on me fool me twice.....no thanks!
