My husband and I spent 6 days here a week ago; VERY bad decision. When we checked in we were told we couldn't have the "expedia" room we reserved because we had a dog. We had to have a "dog" room. The room was dirty; stains on the walls and carpet; the ceiling tiles near the airconditioner were black with what I assume was mold and the furniture was old and "beat up".
When we requested another room, we inspected that room and found it to be in worse condition - the ceiling tiles were falling in in the bathroom. The nightclub is permenantly closed.
The "breakfast cooked to order" is 1 sausage patty, undercooked hashbrowns and 2 eggs either over easy or scrambled. The juice machine was broken the entire time we were there; the only choice of beverage was water or coffee. We never saw a Security Guard. The back door which faces the back parking area was "propped open" because it didn't work; when the prop was removed, they disconnected the lock and it was open for everyone/anyone to enter. The sliding glass doors off of the outside rooms were "sealed" for security with a little metal
rod to keep it locked. I felt very unsafe. There was an inside pool that looked nice, but we never saw anyone clean it. Housekeeping staff was pleasant and helpful; front desk staff was abrupt and bordering on rude. There is no onsite laundry. When I asked where I could find it, I was told "there isn't any"; no explanation, no apology. The bathroom had stains that I don't care to know what caused them; I cleaned with ajax and it didn't remove the stains. We checked out a day early and forfeited our money as soon as another motel was available. Very dirty and unsafe for female travelers.

This is a nice hotel based on the lobby and "park" near the pool. However, it is an old hotel that smells musty. While the room was as clean as could be expected, it was not clean by my standards. The toilet was old and used a lot of water to flush, and the cupboard under the sink had a piece that had broken off and was leaning against the rest of the counter. The bedspread and carpet were clearly old, though still usable. The service was okay, but nothing extraordinary. This was also past many of the more populated (meaning restaurants) exits of Amarillo. Would highly recommend staying somewhere else.
