The Inn was first opened in 1967, shortly after the first homes were built in Alta Sierra, and was called the Deer Creek Inn. Since opening, the Inn has had four owners and has grown from 11 to 15 rooms including:
l Suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, family room, dining area, and 2 large decks with a barbeque.
l Two room suite with microwave, refrigerator, and a large covered deck.
l Single rooms with either 2 full, 2 queen, or one king and one queen bed and cable TV; most of which have microwaves, refrigerators and covered decks with views
Official Hotel Information
35 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Good: nice location; quiet; friendly and non-obtrusive owners and staff
Not-so-good: furnishings really tired (bad thrift-store decor); carpeting suspicious; polyester bedding & tiny towels; not terribly clean; not terribly cheap.
The not-so-good would be a little different (i.e., a better value with fewer expectations) if a standard room didn't run close to $90 when we stayed there.
Same accommodations at perhaps 1/3rd less would be about right; OR same price but a little updating would be fine, too
