Alpine Trail Ridge Inn and the Sundeck Restaurant have been independently owned and operated for over 50 years. Guests return year after year because they always find a welcoming staff, excellent food, and comfortable, immaculate lodging. We believe some things should never change! In addition, customized hiking information and tips for where to take the best photos are happily offered upon request. Located at the south entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, a 3/4 mile walk to the visitor's center and only 1.5 miles west of the center of Estes Park, you are close to premier hiking and wildlife, as well as the opportunity to visit unique shops in town. Grand views of 8 peaks over 12000' high are enjoyed from Alpine Trail Ridge Inn. Sixteen rooms have private balconies for your personal viewing pleasure while enjoying your first cup of coffee in the morning or star-gazing at night. All 48 rooms are non-smoking, the property is pet-free and parking is available at the doors of all but seven rooms. Recently remodeled in 2003, each room offers free high-speed wireless Internet access, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, telephone, remote control color cable TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, air conditioner and natural gas heater. For your enjoyment, there is a heated - 84 degree - outdoor pool, open May 20 to September 15. Two hard-wired computers and printers are available in the office for guest use, along with copier and fax machine. The Sundeck Restaurant, on property, specializes in Fresh Trout and Prime Rib, and is frequented by locals as well as guests, due to the quality of the food and service. Guests at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn comment daily about the comfort of their rooms and how pleased they are with their stay. Jay and Fran Grooters have managed the property for 31 years, and personally strive to insure that you will experience personalized care and exceptional lodging value, all the elements for a memorable vacation.
