A highly recommended hotel in the superior tourist category. In red granite and mirrored glass, the facade is distinctive on the street especially when the other buildings are of low rise. The hotel is located on Victoria Street in what is known as the civic district. So called because it was the seat of the colonial government. Within the area one can find some historical architecture like the Raffles Hotel, the National Museum, the Arts Museum, CHIJMES, St Andrew's Cathedral, the Archbishop residence and several churches. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the City Hall MRT station.

During my 1 week stay in Allson Hotel, I did not feel the friendliness of the staffs. Especially the receptionist. I did not feel the welcome when I first checked in, and I did not feel it as well when I was paying the bill.
