The last couple of times I have gone to Snowshoe I have stayed at Allegheny Springs in a 1 bedroom unit. Allegheny Springs is a good mix of everything I am looking for in a ski condo.
It is a newer building and has a lot of nice amenities including a hot tub, sauna, small gym, fire pit, and heated pool (nice for adults who like to swim because all of the kids are at split rock pools). The condo also offers valet, which is nice if the weather is especially cold or nasty. The rooms have full kitchens with everything you need (dishes, utensils, etc) including dishwashers, so you can save money by not eating out 3 meals a day (this also gives you extra time on the slopes because the restaurants can get crowded at lunch and breakfast). It is nice to be able to make your own breakfast, save leftovers for later, or heat up a frozen pizza for dinner.
Although the studio sleeps as many people as the one bedroom (4 - two in a queen bed and 2 in a sleeper sofa), I prefer the 1 bedroom which is only marginally more expensive. With all of the ski stuff it is nice to have the extra room and I feel it makes the room feel more like home to have a separate bedroom. I request the 4th floor because they have vaulted ceilings which make the rooms feel a lot bigger.
Allegheny Springs is right by the slopes and close to the restaurants and shops in the village center. The front desk will also arrange to have one of the valets drive you (complimentary) over to ember or anywhere else not within a short walk so you never need to use your car.
