I had my daughter's wedding reception here, we were treated like royality. The staff was always available to help, the food was good, we got no complaints from the visitors from out of town. My daughter and her new husband even stayed an extra night

The town of Alexandria should demand this place be cleaned up. I would not want the name of my town even associated with a place like this. Does Louisiana not have health inspectors? No visitors to your state should be treated to this sad state of affairs. Clean it up or close it down.

If you are planning on visiting the Alexandria area do, not stay in this hotel. The first time I walked in to the bathroom in the room we stayed in there was a huge (I sincerely mean huge) roach on the floor. The overall appearance of the room was dirty. The bottom sheet on the king size bed would not stay on. (Oogh, yuck!) We changed rooms after only one night in that room. The next room we stayed in was a double room. The air conditioner barely worked. My husband ended up taking the filter off the air conditioner and cleaning it in the bath tub. Thank goodness that the bath tub drained properly at least. The filter on the air conditioner was really, really nasty. He wondered if it had been cleaned in years.
Both my husband and I have stayed in hotels several times for work and when vacationing and never ever have we had to endure this kind of horror. I would never recommend this hotel and would never stay overnight there again.

I visited this hotel a few weeks ago and it was horrible. The rooms were damp and smelly. The carpet was wet in the hallway. The employees were rude. The room service was terrible. It was an act of Congress to get clean towels and washcloths.

Welcome to the Hotel from Hell, and I say that loosely because the staff of the Alexandria Hilton are not friendly enough to even welcome you. Don't let first appearances fool you. Ask to see the room before you check into this dump. Talk about smelly, dirty, damp, insect ridden....need I say more. Don't walk, RUN to the nearest exit......
I recently stayed a couple days in this dump for the softball world series.Day1 checkin time the head coaches room did not have a bathroom door another coaches room had a lizard in the bed.Day2 elevators stuck with people in them Day 3 I was walking down the street in front of hotel saw a dirty needle on the sidewalk, when the front desk person was asked about the needle we were told that we might find one in the pool.No free breakfast not even a bagel the buffet was 9 dollars a person and the grease was puddled up in the pan for the bacon, the cook was seen in his pajamas in the kitchen cooking. The only reason i would go back is to tell people to stay away.............

Dump - How can anyplace operate with this bad of conditions. Does Louisiana not inspect its hotels? Staff untrained and rude. Rooms filthy dirty. No service-No consideration-I can't expain how horrid my stay was.

Rude employees are just the beginning of your horrible stay. Dirty rooms, broken elevators, no service in amenities that are listed. How can anyone even call this a hotel. Big Joke. Just hope that none of us left with motel cooties.

Deceptive internet advertisement. We were there at the beginning of August. The rooms were stinky and dirty. There was no service. If you needed towels you had to take them to the front desk and then they did not have any to replace them with. Staff was not friendly. The pool was dinky considering the size of the hotel. You had to walk the stairs because the elevators did not work properly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
