This Holiday Inn in Alexandria, IA, seemed rundown and is in need of renovation. There was peeling ceiling tile and mold/mildew in the restroom area. There was also litter in the hallways and dishes outside of guest rooms that had not been picked up

I enjoyed the stay, but the eating arrangements for that particular Holiday Inn leaves a lot to be desired. Their in-house restaurant has very limited hours and there is really nothing conveniently located in the area for eating late at night.
