Aleksander House is a gracious in-town 1882 Victorian Italianate home centrally located in historic Old Louisville near shops, restaurants, museums and many attractions. Completely restored, it is listed on the National Registry of Historical Landmarks. Inside are 14 foot ceilings, original hardwood floors, light fixtures, stained glass and fireplaces. The walls of the spacious dining room are lined with French Toile paper and prints of 19th century French impressionists. Sumptuous breakfasts are served along with specially blended coffees, an assortment of fine teas, homemade granolas, muffins and jams. Two sweeping staircase lead to the second and third floor guest rooms each uniquely decorated in eclectic or period furnishings with fine linen and comforters.
