We've just recently renovated with new lobby, pool, and room areas. The Albion has the feeling of being aboard a surreal modernist ocean liner. To greet the guests as they enter the hotel is floor to ceiling windows trimmed with nautical mahogany and a 600-foot vertical pond, the courtyard has portholes that look into the swimming pool. The Albion is located just one block from the beach, in the heart of South Beach's historic Art Deco District. It is conveniently situated at the corner of the open-air Lincoln Road promenade.Note: August 6-11 Pool Maintenance- closure of pool. August 6 for approx 2 months the closure of the Pantry. Refitting the Kitchen and replacement of new A/C unit. Service will continue in the Bamboo room. We are not going to have any smell during this project but we expect a low - medium level of noise and dust. Noise during construction of the Pantry and relocation of the Front Desk will be most evident the week Aug. 6-11, as the job continues the noise level will be minimal. The hotel will be closing both the 2nd and 3rd floors during this period NO SLEEPING ROOMS will be available on those floors while construction periods prevail. We will be cloaking the areas to minimize the possible dust during this time, and giving our clientele an alternative check in station. The Restaurant will open as usual, however this service will take place in the Bamboo room in the hotels Coconut Palm courtyard area.

An art-deco hotel, The Albion South Beach is located only two blocks away from the beach and the Miami Beach Convention Center is only one block away. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, and although not huge, they are well equipped. There's a nice swimming pool with a sundeck on one of the higher levels and this is great, especially early in the morning. There are many shops, restaurants, and nightlife on Lincoln Road which is a short walk away. There's also a good fitness center and in the hotel, the coffee, and chocolate chip cookies are a nice touch. The Albion Pantry Cafe, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, although I didn't have time to try it when I was there, it looked pleasant. The staff are friendly and polite.

We have stayed this hotel during a holiday season. Price of the hotel is expensive yet room was far cheap quality, and bed is covered with BEDBUGS!
As a consumer, notified management that there are bedbugs after doctor's examination, but they continued to deny. Your body will be eaten up by nightmare creatures and will be irritated by itchness... won't enjoy your trip if you stay this hotel. Customer service is horrible. Employees are miserable. Don't stay this hotel.

An expensive wrist watch was stolen out of our room when we stepped out for a few minutes to get coffee. Management could have cared less. When we checked out early, as the result of this and other bad experiences, (during normal AM check out time one full day ahead of schedule) we were informed they would charge us for the day we weren't using. The manager actually unilateraly lost his temper and yelled at us
During our time at the hotel a building wide pressure-washing project created a number of problems, including being soaked by dirty wash water and paint flakes coming off the front of the hotel. This project was unannounced at the time we made our reservation. If we had known about it - we would have never stayed there.
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and a few things I like best are the service - these folks go the extra mile to make you happy - and it's a true SoBe experience. From the waterfall wall in the lobby, small but very comfy rooms, one...
Note: Do not try to send any faxes to this hotel! Apparently, the concept is too much for them to grasp! Front desk is completely disorganized! I called to find out the room # to address the fax to and was given the incorrect #. Although my fax...

Considering that it's owned by the family of one of the owners of Studio 54, this is not a low key place (the name of the hotel is facing the street from the roof and at night is lit up like the Empire State building).
The rooms are on the small side, but are also minimal (in a good way), clean and have anything you could really need while staying here. It's in a great location as well. Its not my fave in South Beach, but if I had no choice and was booked here, I wouldn't be upset.
I am very likely
to return to the Albion Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
On recent visit, upon check-in was informed that they had changed my my room to something else. (1 king, to 2 double). When taken to the room, the lights did not work, the carpeting was stained, tile peeling from walls in bathroom. After demanding ...
