I thought it was great and a great value for the money. It is right next to the Ala Moana shopping center too. All you have to do is walk across the bridge to go to the center or the beach.
I do not usually stay in hotels, as I work in one. I thought this was far better for the money.

Loved how accessible it was to everything (beach, mall, convention center). Bus stop nearby, making travel around Oahu easy as well. Rooms had complimentary internet access, which was nice. Lobby/rooms had wireless internet for a fee.

Pool closes at sunset, laundry rooms were small and often had to wait to use them, adjoining restaurant was rather expensive.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ala Moana Hotel. The entire hotel at the Ala Moana was recently renovated and the room looked brand new. I liked the fact that the hotel was located next door to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, which our dining options very easy every day. The beach is just down the street and I went every morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hawaii! You'll love it!
