ok, gotta admit i was a bit hesistant when i book my hotel for 9/26-28/09 with all the bad reviews. However, having stayed there myself, it was not as bad as other ppl would have u believe. My room was on the 6th floor (628) towards the back of the hotel and it was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. the common bathroom & shower also clean. The location was perfect, right on Market by 7th. Sure there were homeless ppl on the street but thats anywhere on Market St. I just wish that the free internet can be access from the rooms instead of just the lobby. Also, wish there were more donuts for brkfst. if I'm still on a budget and had to travel to SF, will def consider staying here again. you get a good deal for the price. its not Four Season but then again, ur not paying four season prices.
I would not recomend this hotel at all.. Shabby rooms and the bathroom was the worst ever (like a public, shabby bathroom).. When you took a shower there was water all over the floor.. This water was never cleaned up by the chambermaid, so there...

Cannot warn you enough about not staying here. It is terrible. Area is extremely rundown and full of hoods. A sign inside the office window about $20 per person for a police call-out fee explains alot!
They had completely wrong information about our reservation. We ended up in a haggle session over a twin hotel room, as they had firstly told us there were none available for the rate we had been given in our reservation, only after threating to stay just 1 night, there was suddenly a room available for the 3 nights that we had initially wanted. This happend to two couples behind us also, i know this, because, as we were waiting inside the elevator in the lobby to take us up to the 3rd floor, the door suddenly started opening and closing, taking us nowhere. Apparently it hadn't been going for a while. I pity those who had to drag their luggage up to the 6th floor. We were also told there was only one room key, and to give it back whenever we went out, we didnt. Although somehow they still managed to get in to our room to change the towels.
The room was decent, but not to scratch for what we paid. Towels had yellow stains on them. The area is VERY seedy. Definately the wrong end of town.
Bates Hotel would have been better.

Location was alright for the event we were attending which was the Love Parade, but the hotel itself was nasty. Definitely bum central, no showers in the rooms or bathrooms. It was dirty, and in our room it was too loud we couldn't sleep because of something going on in the next business. To all you travelers that haven't been to San Francisco, do NOT stay there. It was actually stupid we had to give the key to the front desk every time we had left. Just one bad experience.

Holy Cow. I found this place through and there is nothing positive I can say about this place other than the price which should be lower as I found a dreamhaven lower priced in a much safer place with all amenities closer to all attractions. I wouldn't stay in this fleabag near crackheads and slum Capital ever again. I'm sorry but I'm trying to save you other travellers. Otherwise, spend a little more or keep looking for that dream like I found in another place which I'll be writing a review about! Sincerely Barry Waldron
I am not likely
to return to the Aida Plaza.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I stayed at the Aida with some people I met on the road. This location in San Francisco made that crazy trip the best ever. It was cheap and in the best location!
Surly staff, filthy room, exposed wiring draping down from the ceilings, ancient fixtures and fittings, and the inclusive breakfast consisted of a box of donuts left on a table at reception. I checked out without even staying a night there.

Okay
As I told the cabbie taking me back to the hotel... (Try getting a cab in San Francisco at 3:30 AM on New Years morning, but that's for another review.) Where are you going to get a hotel in SF on New Years Eve for $50??
