Good
This little independent hotel is quite nice. The rooms are large and the bed and bedding are amazing. I slept better there than I have slept in years. And I was there during a stressful time so it was not being on vacation.
The Aqua Hotel has become our very favorite weekend get away for many reasons; the pet friendly accomodations provide more than we could ask for with grassy parks...

Excellent
Room on first floor has sliding glass doors to small patio with two chairs overlooking Richardson Bay. This made for a lovely, sunny room and easy access to parking lot and walking path. Surprisingly there wasn't an extra security bar for the door....

Beautiful, romantic hotel with a view . This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are well appointed, the view of the water from the room was tranquil and serene, and it made for a very memorable weekend. I'd stay here again anytime!
I am very likely
to return to the Acqua Hotel Joie de Vivre.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This was a wonderful experience, for our ten-year anniversary. We received a free upgrade to the Honeymoon Suite. It was peppered with red and white rose petals, had soft music playing, and a working fireplace. There's a wine and cheese reception each evening. Overall the service was great and I would go back in a heartbeat!
When making the reservations, the staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. Prior to check in, our day time plans delayed our arrival and I was very concerned about losing out on the upgrade, however, when I called in, I was assured that a late check in would be fine. They made the entire visit stress free.

It was right on the water and there was access to a wonderful running trail.A/C system in one room didn't work and service was slow to respond to requests. The hotel is very pleasant and the staff were pleasant, but they were slow reacting to issues ...
We stay at this wonderful hotel about 3 times a year. Although we live fairly close this is such a fabulous place to get romantic. The rooms are elegantly sexy with a euro-asian decor. All but a few rooms face Richardson Bay and Mt. Tamalpias....
