They had clean bedding, furnishings from the 1970's.

They had great architecture, and it’s close to the French Quarter. But the bathroom was not so clean. The bathtub was a nightmare. The A/C and heat were not regulated properly.

The hotel is “No Smoking”, but the manager began smoking at 5 am and the smoke drifted into every inch of the hotel via the A/C ducts. But the best thing was it was very private and very quiet for peaceful sleeping on a very nice cozy bed.

So if price talks, this hotel is for you, since the main reason to stay there was to sleep only. I carried a can of disinfectant that I drenched the bathroom in.

The location is in the Garden District, just one block off St. Charles street car line to the French quater. Each room is different and although the antiques werent as comfortable the atmostphere made up for it. High ceilings, terrific windows and balconys and cooked to order breakfast. The concierge was so helpful for ideas of must-see places within walking distance.
