Good
This place was so charming that I will be returning again. It really was perfect in location, price and decor. We felt at home here and the company was just so much fun. I highly recommend it.
Quiet, residential tree-lined street in the Back Bay. You wouldn't know it was a hotel! Not much to it beyond a place to sleep, but Newbury St. is just a few blocks south for shopping and great dining. Public transportation and landmarks within easy walking distance. The man at the reception desk was short with me and did not go out of his way to be helpful.
Let's be honest, the place is a lot cheaper than all other hotels in the area and is close to everything (shops, transportation, etc). I have been staying here for the past few years, as a poor college student and now a professional. They are clear ...

I found this place while looking for a Bed & Breakfast in Boston. Well, it is definitely not that. If you find links to it from B&B websites, please report it as incorrect. There is no breakfast, only 1 pot of coffee per day. While the location was fine for what we went to Boston for - a Red Sox game (Fenway is only 10 minutes walk away), the place is otherwise horrible. The carpet is stained and dirty, and there were also mysterious stains on the walls and bathroom floor. Our room should not have been a room at all - maybe a closet space. Add to that the hippie-looking guy at the front desk, no water fountain, no ice, no AC, and you have a lousy joint.
The location, price, and staff were good. Just to visit a few days, was very happy with it. Was less than 1/2 the cost of hotels near it, but had a very good time.
