Only one hundred yards from Carmel's beautiful white sandy beaches and dramatic ocean surf, you'll find the most romantic country inn. The Sandpiper Inn's early California architecture is complemented by colorful seasonal gardens. Our seventeen charming rooms and cottage rooms are individually decorated with country antiques and original paintings. Several rooms have ocean views across Carmel Bay, and some have fireplaces.

The place is fantastic... most bang for your buck. The caretakers are very nice and attentive. I even got a 25 dollar gift certificate for helping a fellow vacationer get up the stairs. My wife and I loved the fact that you can stroll right down...

We hav stayed at the Sandpiper Inn several times and each time is a delight. The location is perfect and the service outstanding. A special retreat setting in wonderful Carmel.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper Inn. It is old-ish, but most importantly it's clean. We loved the breakfast! Delicious food and personable service. It's a nice location- close to the sea and it's nice to walk around...

The staff were so kind and helpful that neighborly is the best description. The scale of the building is like a home and the rooms feel like a family beach house. But the inn was built to be an Inn and the flow and placement of the rooms serves well....

We left our window open at night so we could hear the ocean and felt perfectly safe! What a delightful place the Sandpiper Inn by the Sea is! The breakfast exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to go back next...
26 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
It was a quaint hotel. My friend was getting married in the park near the hotel so we had the entire bridal party spend the night there before the wedding. It met our needs.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the 1929 Sandpiper Inn By the Sea.
I might recommend it to friends.
