THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY IN NAUVOO!!!

48 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed at the Ellis Sanders House March 25 through March 30, 2008, and we're already planning to return! The ambience is priceless. We felt like we were are in old Nauvoo, but with comfortable modern conveniences. The house is beautiful with period decor and lots of history. Owners, David and Diane shared their knowledge of the history of the house and surrounding area.
The gourmet breakfasts were DELICIOUS! The rooms were comfortable and decorated beautifully.
We wished we didn't have to leave, but when we did, we left with wonderful memories and new friends in David and Diane.
You're missing out on a wonderful opportunity, if you don't stay at the Ellis Sanders House during your trip to Nauvoo!

29 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We loved everything. It was our first visit to Nauvoo. To help us out, the owners of the Ellis Sanders House gave us a detailed map and told us what, where and when to see everything, so we could see as much as possible. This bed and breakfast had the best breakfast we have every had! Every day Diane made something different for us. David did a wonderful dessert by candlelight for us. We had such a good time we decided we have to come back with another couple and share the experience all over again with them. Diane is also a wedding florist and we loved having her show us the bridal bouquet she made for a Nauvoo Temple bride while we were there. it was so beautiful. The room was large and had the best bed and bathroom. All in all is was a home away from home except we were treated like royalty! We will be back soon.

We loved everything from the moment we arrived. The house is a historic home started in 1843 and is so wonderfully appointed with antiques and true class. The owners are Diane and David. They are so personable and made us feel right at home. The dessert and breakfast was fabulous, best you can imagine! I give this B&B a 10+ and wish everyone could have a least one night here...a night to remember.

It was our honeymoon when we stayed in December and, wow, what a place! We never imagined a place such as this would be in Nauvoo. We were spoiled by the owners, what food, what service! They made our honeymoon the best. We will go back here for our anniversary. We loved it!
