CHECK OUR WEBSITE DIRECTLY FOR AVAILABILITY AT . cameronestateinn - The Cameron Estate Inn, one of Pennsylvania's most elegant and historic inns, is situated on 15 acres of lawns, formal gardens, woods and streams. Although extremely secluded, the Cameron Estate is convenient to the many attractions that make up the unique fabric of historic Lancaster County and is no more than a 20 minute drive to the Amish countryside, downtown Lancaster City, Hershey, York and the state capital Harrisburg. The elegant mansion that now serves as the Cameron Estate Inn was built in 1805 by Dr. John Watson, great-grandfather of President McKinley. Simon Cameron purchased it in 1872, and enlarged and renovated the mansion which was regarded with wonder and admiration by many notables of the post Civil War era. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been designated as a Lancaster Country Heritage Resource and Historic Preservation Trust Site. Also in the immediate vicinity are quaint villages, antique shops, outstanding back roads, wineries, covered bridges, hiking along the Susquehanna River, and championship golf courses. The Cameron Estate is convenient to the American Music Theater in Lancaster, Mt. Gretna jazz and chamber music concert series, and the summer concert series at Nissely Winery.

Excellent
Just stayed at the inn and had the best time. The food was great, the breakfasts to die for (love the bacon and apple pancakes), the hosts were fun and all too happy to accommodate you needs.

Good
Elegant room, private and romantic setting. On-site restaurant serves fine food, great wines. Innkeepers are friendly and knowledgable about their property and the area.

A great secret and wonderful find. Food was great, hosts funny, a great time. Definitely off the beated path on a great estate in the middle of farmland. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at The Cameron Estate Inn an average of once a year for the past 4 years. I write regarding our most recent stay, in December 2006, but my comments also relate, generally, to the entirety of our visits.
The Cameron Estate Inn is about continuity. It is about service, and graciousness. It is not trendy. It does not have a flashy lobby or public spaces. With The Cameron Estate Inn you get the same level of service year in and year out. You get a warm smile meant for you.
The service at The Cameron Estate Inn is exemplary. I cannot think of a request that has not been honored, and I cannot think of a case where housekeeping service did other than a terrific job.
We have always stayed in the rooms with a fireplace which means a larger room with a king bed. Since the Inn is secluded, there is no street noise and no noise from adjoining rooms. The rooms are well appointed, with a nice size sitting areas (with a desk, a comfortable couch and two comfortable easy chairs). The linens and bedding are of first quality. I am fussy about hotel lighting, and The Cameron Estate Inn always passes the test every seating area is well lit enough for reading. The furnishings are in classic good taste.
The HVAC units are individually controlled and are efficient and quiet.
Breakfasts at The Cameron Estate Inn are adequate, thank goodness no buffet, but a hot served entrée.

My wife and I make a point to visit the Cameron Estate Inn at least twice a year. Sometime just for dinner, sometimes we spend the night. It is the most romantic, welcoming, and professionally run inn.

My husband surprised me with a trip to the Cameron Estate Inn this week for our Anniversary. The experience was incredible and magical. We were greeted as if we were the only two staying at the Inn.
