The rooms were fairly decent, as was the service at the front desk. Rooms were clean, decor was OK. However, we did have problems with the food service in the morning - it was horrible. Although, the manager did come over and explain the situation. Didn't charge us for the little bit that was edible. The standard of service was par with many 4 star hotels we have stayed at and the food was not to be believed. They have a FABULOUS chef from San Francisco and every meal was spectacular. Friendly and responsive staff. Hospitality was superb and there's no question we would stay there again. Room had very qualities, such as, furniture and bathroom.My ice bucket was dirty, but they exchanged it promptly. Woodfin Suites in La Jolla is a very nice place to stay while visiting San Diego. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. The facility is clean and has a safe feeling. The hotel was nice overall, but the furnishings and condition of the room was not up to par.
