Based on some of the reviews I read here, I was a little concerned that the hotel would not be kid-friendly. But our experience was a good one. Yes the atmosphere is clubby and trendy (I think 'cheesy' is a probably a better description), but the staff was kind and helpful. They were quick to send up a crib when we asked for one, and they were happy to give us a late (1pm) check-out. The room was smallish but clean.
