The rooms are a decent size., but there isn't a pool. I heard so much about this hotel I thought ok, I'm tired, I'll try it. Firdt thing, no one could speak english and 2nd the gal didnt know how to make a charge on the room. After hearing about a man that ran out, and didn't pay for room. I ventured off to my room. I opened the door, and wow, what a smell, thought there was a dead bod or something, I called and asked the gal about it, she said she could switch me to another room, I asked do they all smell this way? She said yes, so she evidently had a cold or something, so I satyed in that room, I did go to Walmart and buy a candle to try covering the stench, it didn't. I did sleep that one night cause I was tired, but at 6:30 a.m I went to front desk to check out, due to bug bites. welts, I even showed family and friends. I asked the gal at front desk for a refund but she didn't know how to that either. I did go to Sleep Inn, far nicer. I got home a few days later, and on my credit card I was charged over $240 some dollars for 3-4 days I didn't stay there. I stayed only a few hours and got out of there. So I had to contact credit card company and the mgr. about it, He finally credited my credit card for everything but the $35, I figured he charged me for the use of the bugs in bed. He would NOT refund the few hours. There were multiple mistakes made by the staff! The worst was when we returned from a long day preparing for my sister's wedding (what was supposed to be our 2nd night in the hotel) we found that our room was occupied by someone else! When we went to the front desk, we were told that a mistake had occurred the previous evening and we had been placed in the wrong room. Though they had "supposedly" tried to contact us (there were no voicemails), the manager herself went into our room, packed up our things, and moved them to a different room! I felt extremely violated! Obviously an error had occurred, but the correction should have been made with the people arriving on Friday (even though they requested the room) and not by moving our things without permission! When I said that we would not stay if we had to pay a penny for the room, the manager said she had to call the owners first. When she called back, the owners themselves refused to grant us the night free, but offer a "future stay" and any of their hotels in the "big" cities of Beatrice, Columbus or Norfolk (yeah, we go there a lot...). We refused and walked out. To top things off, the manager said she has "had to do this before, but never found anyone as angry as [me] about it." I want everyone to know that the managers and even the owners themselves condone such behavior at any of their hotels in Beatrice, Columbus and Norfolk, Nebraska.
