THe room was ok but there were only 2

THe room was ok but there were only 2 towles for the 4 of us so I went down to the front desk to get more. They said all the wash clothes were in the dryer but he gave me more towles. I figured they would bring me wash clothes when they were ready. Not! Also when I made the reservation I put down that there were 4 of us but in the fine print it said that there were 4 people in my party but the rate was only for 2 people. So even though I checked in at 1:00 am they called me down the the desk at 2:00 am an said I needed to pay an additional $ for the extra 2 people. This made the room total about with tax. We stayed at the Universal Hilton the next night for under and it was worth it!

The hotel looks good on the surface,

The hotel looks good on the surface, but there are a few problems. No coffeemaker, clock, or fridge in our room. I called the day before we got there and asked if there were fridges in the rooms and I was assured *all* the rooms had fridges. Well apparently not. The room itself was fairly clean, except the mold on the inside of the shower curtain. Had to ask for towels the first day we were there and they took every single towel away the day before we checked out, so we had to dry our hands after the bathroom with Kleenex. The pool is WAY smaller than it looks online. Lots of traffic noise, but that's to be expected given the area. Some seedy type people hanging around the area.
Good things-proximity to Hollywood Blvd (Kodak Theater, museums, shopping, restaurants) was awesome-you could walk to all of it. Parking was free, which was nice. The staff we encountered were all very nice. The one guy even helped us plan our day by telling us how far things were and giving us his input on different things in the area. Has been freshly painted it seems, and the fixtures look like they are in the middle of upgrades. My room had an older tv and furniture but our travelling companions' fixtures and furniture were pretty well brand new.
I might stay again, if I was in the area. I would definetly make sure my room had a fridge though!

Do not stay in this hotel if you have

Do not stay in this hotel if you have kids!!! It is very loud at night, pool closes at 6 pm. No clocks or coffee maker in the room, very cheep hotel. There are a lot of seedy people hanging around. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Do NOT stay, horrible service.

As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was smacked with a energy surcharge and an unreasonable parking-fee for a second vehicle (standard sedan). This is in addition to extremely unfriendly / rude (very discourteous) staff (likely owners) and a room that was as hot as a sauna. It took approximately 2.5 hours for the room to reach 70F as they had turned off the AC to this 2nd-floor room in a 2-story building / establishment. They provided wrong directions to their hotel and I spent 1 hour driving away from the hotel. Additionally, they had no towels in the room. The clerk / owner -- an excessively-unreasonable-person / difficult-to-work-with -- hand delivered 2 towels for a 24-hour stay. There was no shampoo or soap in the shower. 11:00 am check out was a hard-deadline, else they charged for late check out -- even if an hour. I do NOT recommend this hotel, to say the least, as their service is horrible. Thanks for reading; hopefully you can avoid experiencing this disgraceful treatment.

We use to travel to LA to see our daughter. We experienced some other Hotels in the Hollywood area that were not bad, but this hotel meets all our needs. Location is great, walking distance to the strip, the Farmer Market and the restaurants were walking distance too. The cleanliness, the breakfast, the staff and the bed confort was excellent. It also has free parking. We are more than confident that we would stay here again.

When showering...see if there are towels

Granted...your in one of the biggest cities in the world. Lot's going on. That being said, my stay 6-19-08 was good in that the rooms were freshly painted and the beds appeared to be new, YEAH!. The bad: many of the personal insects who shared my room and did not pay, really enjoyed themselves. Moving on, and in addition, many of the "guests, who also acted like insects" seemed to enjoy the Vagabond Inn Executive (Los Angeles), I.E. loud parties, shouting, leaving trash all over the parking lot and totally having a disregard for all the other poor souls who paid $100.00 plus, per day/night. The second to the last memorable moment was when I was returning from dinner. Witnessed an encounter involving two people, MaybeThey may have been bugs....it was dark!, fornicating in the Vagabond Inn Executive's pint sized pool! The cream at the top was being notified...when after a 110 degree day (Sat. 6-21-08) that there were no bath towels, Oh, let me clarify, I mean no "clean towels" to dry off after a shower. Fully understood, equipment breaks down (There's a public laudromat 200 feet away, I used it 3X) My response from the deskman was...."were having problems"!!! I then began to wonder if the management needed the already cleaned bath towels to clean the pool. My recommendation to the masses who are looking to secure accomadations in this area go as this: Good choice: You wear your pants halfway off your rump, your car is old, yet, has lot's of "bling bling" and of course you've packed a bathing suit, albeit you'll only need it for a short time! Bad choice: you need to feel secure away from your personal dwelling, not having to peel your fellow roommates dinner's remnants off your flip flops and of course....drying your showered boby with toilet paper. I will never again lose my money here. I wouldn't even recommend to myfew enenmies

The motel was cheap and as to be expected was nothing fancy but it did what it said on the tin so no complaints from me

The room was okay. Clean but no

The room was okay. Clean but no amenities. No iron. The remote which they hand out at check-in didn't work. (they hand it out so the staff doesn't steal or watch the tv which is why the on/off button is knocked out- so says the manager) This says a bit about the safety of your possessions. The continental breakfast was from a sub continent. And the staff was border line hospitable but not as horrible as another review experienced. So the operative word in Hollywood Vagabond Inn Executive is probably vagabond. Stay if its convenient and the price is right. Otherwise shop around.

This is a case when you can judge the book by its cover. The hotel appearance is shady which is exactly what it is. The room smelled funny, had bugs in the bed, a hole in the comforter, cigarette burns in the sheets, dated amenities and lackluster service. Parking is scarce after 8:30 pm, you must get there early to park in the hotel lot. Enjoy the 7 free channels! The only good thing about this hotel is the location, it is somewhat close to hollywood/sunset boulevard.
