Our room smelled of mildew and wet dog. The bathroom tub/shower was not safe for children under 6 to use- the hot/cold was backwards and I was worried about bugs the whole time. We should have just left instead of staying the night. I would recommend it to any single travelling man who doesn't care about those little things- like clean bathrooms or a non-smelly room. Definitely not recommended for families. We didn't even attempt the free breakfast and the staff was lifeless. We stayed on our way to Disney from VA. When we woke up at 6:00 am the bed was loaded with BEDBUGS. When alerted the staff they acted as if it was no big deal. They refused to give me a refund for my stay until I stated I was going to call the Health Department. My nephew and Father had atleast 30 bites a piece over their back, arms, and legs. This was a small pool but adequately heated so I can swim with my Fibromyalgia and arthritis. The staff was quite friendly and the rooms adequately clean. This is not a newer motel nor is it upscale, but if you want a good value for the money, this is a good motel. Also the staff was very helpful selling us tickets (only $10) for the tour of Savannah. I was very impressed both with the hotel and Savannah.
