Loud, dirty. Wouldn't come back...

The Travelodge in any city is usually my go-to hotel due to it's cheap price and usually decent accommodations...not great, but just a solid hotel for cheap. This place was one of the worst Travelodges I've stayed in. There is a very noisy bar rig

Cheap, cheap, cheap

If there were a way to make this place cheaper, they'd have found it. Door did not lock properly, curtains could not be closed while using the heater unit, hot water was lacking, cleanliness was lacking, cable TV was fuzzy, refrigerator was warm, bedspread and sheets were dirty, ad nauseum...
Deferred maintenance was the theme of the day.

We booked our motel stay 7-weeks in

We booked our motel stay 7-weeks in advance through online travel website. The motel location we actually made the reservation at was at 1815 Santa Rosa Avenue...but, like one of the 4-couples in our group that experienced the same misstreatment, our reservation got pushed to the Downtown Travelodge. This motel SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS due to unsafe conditions. On top of the very dirty conditions (mold, unfinished drywall, paint splatters on mirrors, no door frame, no chain type door lock, missing bathroom tile, mold and missing grout in the shower, on and on and on...And online travel website's customer service, which I spoke to trying to resolve the mess they put us in via my cell phone for nearly 30-minutes....is absolutely the worst. I know what some of you that are reading this are thinking: "there is no way this guy is legitimate with his comments about this motel"! Please e-mail me & I will be happy to send you photos of this motel and the rooms (we picked the best of 3-rooms we were offered!!!)!

This hotel was old moldy and moldy

This hotel was old moldy and moldy smelling. It appeared they were rennovating, maybe they had some kind of water damage. The first room they tried to put us in had such a bad moldy smell we asked for another room. While our new room was better, We did not have enough towels or toilet paper in our room, we had to ask the desk for them. Also, the tub handle was not working properly. One morning it took 15 minutes to get hot water, the next there was none and we had to take a cold shower.

The rooms are terrable. Can't believe this hotel is even up to code. Vents have no covers, mold in the shower, some rooms have no fire alarm. Bad part of town, railings and stairs are falling apart, most rooms have musty and/or ashtray smell, some rooms smell . Best Feature: NoneNeeds Improvement: They had a sign that was still up: "Partion our dust, renovation." But there was noting being done.

Good service

The service was pretty good (they let us check in early at 12pm and also checked out late at 12pm), and accommodated our several room changes. They're in the process of renovating the rooms, so about half or so are done now. Nothing special about this hotel, but if you just want a nice clean room to stay in for a short period of time, this is it!

I have stayed in TL in SF, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and in other states. This was my best experience of all in California. I personally have had, and know others who have had problems checking in to TL's in San Francisco, particularly the one on Polk

The owners weren't very nice and heavily chlorinated the pool while we were swimming in it! I mean…it could have waited!
