I was staying in Flagstaff with my wife and 2 boys for a quick spring break trip to the Grand Canyon. I picked Travelodge because I was on a tight budget.

I made my arrangements, and prepaid through Travelocity. I arrived at Travelodge and check

we would have been better off camping, filthy room, no amenities for the price, stains on the curtains from?, cigarette burns/holes in the sheets, seems family members were doing the painting and cleaning, no coffee unless you buy it next door from the restaurant. Someone elses hair on the toilet when we entered the room. Room was cut in with paint around the trim, but not painted, lady brought another bath towel and sprayed air freshener as she walked in.. yikes.. TV did not work, no phone, no internet, no news paper in lobby, no information on area attractions. Twilight zone and we didn't bring our tent!

AFTER PULLING BACK THE COVERS WE FOUND LITTLE BUGS EVERYWHERE. THE SHEETS HAD OBVIOUSLY NOT BEEN WASHED.BECAUSE WE COULD TELL WHAT THE PRIOR OCCUPANTS HAD EATEN FOR DINNER. INCREDIBLY RUDE OWNERS. AFTER WE COMPLAINED,SHE SAID THAT UNLESS THEY SAW THE BUGS THEY COULD NOT REFUND OUR MONEY. THE BUGS WERE HIDING BUT SHE SAID THAT THE FOOD STAINS WOULD NOT COME OUT IN THE WASH. STAY AWAY!!!!

I had a nice and comfortable stay. The only problem was that the shower curtain was dirty and it needed cleaning.

Trains all night. Too expensive for what you get - not even a good night sleep. I guess we deserve what we got since we took our chances not getting reservations ahead of time somewhere else. At this point we were just lucky to get a room. We definitely would NEVER stay here again.

The toilet wouldnt flush upon our arrival to the room. They sent a maintenance person to fix it, and it worked ok, then when we returned to the room after the days activities once again it wouldn't work. They refused to give us another room, or our money back. They were so rude, and not apologetic for their broken toilet. They said it wasn't their problem. The towels were dirty and the shower didnt look clean at all. They said the room was non smoking, but it smelled of smoke, We left 3 hours after checking in, and we will never go back!!

Was promised a suite, not delivered. Tv remote (all three of them) inoperable. Oh yes, did i forget to mention TRAINS!!!! All night long, every (it seemed) twenty minutes. Reminiscent of the I Love Lucy episode where the beds moved around due to train vibrations. Laughable now, not then. Bring double ear protection! A rip off for the price you pay, pretty crummy place.
