I've been here twice - late September

I've been here twice - late September '08 and early November '08. Once with just my wife (for 3 days) and when we brought the kids (1 day). Both times were excellent. The staff is helpful but not annoying. They catch your eye when you need something, but otherwise leave you alone. The food at the pool is great and we had dinner here one evening. The multiple pools and slide are great attractions. Have breakfast outside so you can watch sunrise on the Catalinas. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and the views phenomenal. It can be expensive, but off season they take some special rates - such as government and military - a bit over per diem. We paid less than half the rack rate.
Stay here. It is worth it. Just remember it can be a bit of a walk to the pool and restaurants from your room. That's a plus in my book.

Front desk staff was very friendly.Hotel restaurant was poor, especially for the money! Rooms wereold.“Very overpriced for the quality and experience. Seems that they are solely relying on their conference business. Rooms are below the level of local 3 star hotels. But what do you expect for Tucson? Nearly all of the resort type hotels are old and in dire need of renovations. Maybe someday one of the Tucson resorts will get it right. In the meantime, stick with the 3 star hotels in Tucson.”

This is probably the nicest hotel in Tucson. We were married here. It has a beautiful location with a great view of the Catalinas.

The food and service here is excellent. The prices are a bit high, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Highly recommended!

What a beautiful resort! The grounds are absolutely amazing, done in desert fauna. The rooms are rustic and southwest style. The have a wonderful pool with a slide. Their on-site restaurant had a wonderful lunch menu. Although, higher priced, but good food and drinks. Highly recommend for a romantic get-away.

The pool areas are quite, extraordinary, there is adult area separate and the slide is great for kids. The rooms are very average for a "suite".“The area is beautiful to those unfamiliar with the desert, the landscape is kept nicely. The pool area is very spacious and has a nice swim up bar. The rooms have older furniture and we found a roach crawling across the floor in the middle of the night. The front desk manager is very disquieting with his worries of being stiffed for room charges. all of the other staff was polite.”
