Having recently married ,my husband and I needed a short getaway. We found the perfect place in Baton Rouge and all of our expectations were exceded. The ambience is very warm and hospitable. I felt as though I was staying with a dear old friend yet, we were afforded the privacy and alone time we were seeking. The food was delicious, healthy and, the original dishes to die for . We'll go back as often as we can ,as it will always be a very special place to us.Thanks to the hard working staff that made it so memorable!

I stay at the Stockade on my regular business visits to Baton Rouge. The accomodations are excellent. The innkeeper's food is wonderful. The decor is charming and understated. The house is conveniently located within walking distance to several excellent local restaurants. There is a gym (included with stay) across the street. I highly recommend the Stockade.

My wife and I spent the weekend at The Stockade B&B near the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, LA. The location, room, service and breakfast were great.
Our Innkeeper, Janice DeLerno, became a fast friend and we look forward to our next stay before Christmas.

A hidden gem in Baton Rouge and a very pleasant break from the corporate hotel chains. One of my favorites. Large, very comfortable, well appointed rooms. A relaxing ambiance. The Innkeeper, Janice, is a pleasure to talk to and, being a native of New Orleans, she can provide insight on things to do and places to go for those not familiar with the area (in addition to making an excellent Southern breakfast). Access to a nice health club across the street. Definitely worth a stay.

This B&B is beautiful. Our extended family rented out all the rooms for the weekend and every single one is gorgeous and well-appointed. There is a large common room and two nice areas for outside seating that we used for a rehearsal dinner. Plenty of books and movies, a player piano that we used quite a bit, and a free pass to a gym across the street. And Janice was so patient with us for the many keys we kept misplacing! We really enjoyed our time and the accomodations - oh and the huge breakfasts! Delicious.

Nippon Hotel is just a couple of blocks from Taksim Square; the Times Square of Istanbul. The hotel is furnished in the Japanese modern minimalist style and is extremely clean. The restaurant is pleasant and efficient with a full breakfast buffet available. As with most European hotels, there is no washcloth provided, so bring your own. Although the hotel has a fitness facility on premesis, the hours are limited which prevented our use. There are other hotels nearby and lots of restaurants with outdoor tables. Small stores across the street can provide anything you might have forgotten. A great location.

You can take a walk from the hotel to the famous Taksim square. The San Antonio Church can be reached by walking just in case a Catholic guest would like to hear mass. One thing that I did not like about the hotel was that it was too cold for comfort (for me, because I cam from a tropical country). The heater was not working very well. The breakfast menu carried the same food each day. All in all however, it was a nice place to stay. The hotel personnel were courteous and helpful.
