The beds are wonderful! Very rarely can you get a good nights rest in a hotel -- this was a pleasant change. The breakfast in the morning was good with many choices. The kids especially liked the waffles with strawberries and whipped cream! Not your typical hotel breakfast. The hotel staff was very helpful through out our stay. Location is within walking distance to many historic attractions. Their suites are very nice, especially for the price range, have very nice, modern decor (in something of a 60s mod style, as a previous reviewer mentioned) and have been clean and very well kept. The hotel is in downtown Springfield, a few blocks from the Capitol and Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, as well as downtown Springfield eating places and shops. The staff is always very friendly: after something like 6 stays over a couple years, I can't say I have any complaints at all about the staff, who have all been incredibly friendly and helpful. (one king suite / strange design with closet door doubleing as the bathroom door and retro theme), Fantastic Hot Breakfast with 3 attentive attendants and attentive front desk. The only problem I had was I couldn't get my old computer to connect to their internet service in the room, but I didn't ask for help since it wasn't that important to me. They had a computer in the business center that I was able to get on line and check emails for free. Nice Bar Area with piano. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, I really liked the bathroom set up and the employees were so nice to us. There was a piano in the lobby that my son would play and the hot complimetary breakfast was Awesome!. We could see the State Capitol from our room. The hotel is within walking distance of all the "Lincoln sites" and some good restaurants are also nearby. The only negative comment is the walls are a bit thin. You can hear anyone walking by even speaking in a normal tone as well as your "neighbors" using the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The staff was wonderful and the room was comfortable and very clean. Nice big bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. We had down pillows and comforter, very nice.
