Convenient to Downtown sights and services.Shabby, needs a major facelift, not worth the money, elevators were broken, lounge off the main entrance had a major brawl complete with police at 2am.“Once upon a time this was a lovely hotel in a perfect location! It has slipped sadly into a shabby shell of itself. Rooms are small, dingy, and feature broken or missing pieces. TV was broken and had to be replaced, elevators were broken and we had to use the freight elevator through very scary backroom filthy hallways or the stairs to and from our room on the upper floors while carrying our luggage. The bar off the lobby - which had been nicely renovated- was wild and crazy till the wee hours and had police interventions both nights after a bar fight which we heard in full detail from our room.”

Location in downtown Spokane, close to

Location in downtown Spokane, close to shopping, restaurants, and the river park. The owner has obviously ceased investing in it. It is in disrepair and getting worse.“On the positive side, my room was comfortable and adequate. And the location is outstanding. But this hotel clearly is in decline. One of the two elevators was broken. Nor did the elevators work from the 2nd floor. And on the last day, both were broken, so we had to use the freight elevator. The hotel has an attractive fitness room, but none of the staff could figure out how to unlock the door so I could use it. The HVAC in my room was broken. A staff person told me that turning the thermostat to the coolest setting would not make it cool; rather I should put it someplace in the middle. This is typical of the kind of help I repeatedly got from the very friendly but totally incompetent staff at this hotel. The lobby was dark and depressing. Perhaps this is because of the nightclub on that level--though it had very few customers. All in all, this hotel reminded me of a budget hotel in Eastern Europe--an acceptable place to stay at a low price, but don't expect everything to work.”

The sheets in the Ridpath were dirty,

The sheets in the Ridpath were dirty, housekeeping could not stop by until after 4pm. The front desk staff was horrible and not helpful, seems like they were too busy texting on their cell phones. I the housekeeping staff was friendly and nice, they had to change the sheets on the bed because there was hair on them, the bathroom was dirty, paint peeling off the walls in the shower, the rest of the staff seemed angry and as if they did not care about their jobs. I was told the parking garage was full, and later found out it was half empy and I had already paid for a space across the street. The elevator was broken the entire weekend, so all of the guests used the service elevator which was dirty and there were bags of garbage out side of the elevators on every floor.

Nothing.Rude staff, cubicle size rooms

Nothing.Rude staff, cubicle size rooms that were filthy.“No refers, no microwaves, The site boasts a gym, restaurant and a complimentary continental breakfast. The workout room had a 4 position weight station that was broken on all 4 sides, the tredmill was also broken only 1 piece of equipment actually worked. The restaurant had closed down months earlier (lost lease) the "continental breakfast" consisted of coffee. They charged $16 a night to park in their downstairs garage, which was not attended by anyone, had trash littered everywhere and we were told by others that they had a lot of vandalism reported. The elevaters were broke the entire stay and we were forsed to use the stairs (5th floor) and use the service elevator which was through the kitchen? The rooms were so small no one wanted to stay there but due to the convention in town there were no other rooms anywhere. When we would walk outside of the hotle in any directions we were assailed by people living on the sidewalks and constantly asked for "change". This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I was completely embarrased to have brought all of my business associates to this plase. We are a legal firm and are seriously concidering filing a suit against the corporation for false advertizing. I have several letters being prepared this week and have the contacts of the corporate office in Las Vegas.”

Locate right downtown.Elevator broken,

Locate right downtown.Elevator broken, hotel has seen better days, expensive parking, no airport shuttle.“This is the second time I've stayed here while in town to attend a Gonzaga basketball game in the last two years and it will be the last. The staff are friendly, depending on who is on duty some acted like they were in need of some sleep and you were intruding on their time, while others were very helpful. The elevator did not work and it seemed as if no one was intending on getting it fixed soon. We had to use the noisy, dirty service elevator after winding around a corner by the kitchen (this alone should have meant a discount on the room. The rooms were clean although the card keys had to be inserted twice each time you wanted in the room to get them to work. The hallways looked a little threadbare and in need of some fixing up the garbage left in the cubby holes near the service elevator was not picked up for days. The best thing about the hotel is its location in downtown the parking price of $15 is ridiculous though. We chose to park in the $5 a day lot across the street. There is also no shuttle to the airport. To get to the game we stopped in the Davenport tower and asked if they could call us a cab and they treated us like guests of that fine hotel. When the cab was late in coming they offered us the use of their Town car to get to the game on time. Now that's service. I'd avoid staying at the Ridpath and instead choose a place that actually seems to care whether you come back or not. There are many less expensive and more clean and convenient franchise motel/hotels one could stay at and have a better experience. Lastly, there was no shuttle service to the airport. One of Spokane's venerable old gray lady hotels has gotten kind of seedy.”

The location was not bad.The elevator

The location was not bad.The elevator was broken so had to use freight elevator. There was a night club in the lobby. It was ghetto.“I have never felt such strong dislike for a hotel. The lobby looks nice during the day because it has old world decor, but it turns into a nightclub at night. It was inappropriate and uncomfortable. Hotel is old and in disrepair. Ceilings are low, bathrooms are small, doors don't close. It was awful.”
