Fantastic renovation

My room was completely redone. All new bright white clean shower and sink. Marble vanity with plenty of room to spread out. Small fridge and new flat screen Tv. Excellent service by friendly staff. Free valet parking. Outstanding location. This is the only place to stay when visiting the Plaza.

Stayed during the Thanksgiving weekend. Location is superb for access to The Plaza, Crown Center, restaurants, theatre, etc. The Hotel is currently under renovation, but just a few floors a time. A very nice property, even though somewhat aged on floors which have yet to be refurbished.

My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel for our honeymoon we got the romance package and it was good. They offer wine and chocolates... the wine is cheap... but the chocolates are GREAT! When you go, should you go... check the rooms temperature... ours was very hot and they told us they turned the A/C off for the winter... it was easily 80+ degrees in that room... but they were courteous enough to bring us a fan. The room service, Valet service, and all of the other services were GREAT. It was just really hot in that room... and we were on our honeymoon.

It was a great break. The rooms were everything we requested and beautiful. King beds, luxury bedding, two flat screen tv's plus a working desk. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Hotel is located across the street from Plaza shopping - a must see during the Christmas holiday.

The Raphael Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel located at the heart of the Country CLub Plaza, so you can walk to go shopping, have a wonderful meal, or take in a movie. The rooms are charming.

I used to frequent the restaurant at the Raphael, however i have not been since it has undergone new management. I thought the Raphael was very romantic and the staff was very attentive. I have had many great dinners there, although i will agree with the other review that breakfast is just ok. Not sure if the chefs are different although i have seen that they eliminated the prix fixe that they used to rotate monthly.

The restaurant at the Raphael is just okay, in my opinion. We had breakfast there and my waffles were not any better than I would have gotten at a less fancy restaurant.

I prepaid for a room. I arrived at 10:30PM to check in and was told that all rooms had been sold out and that they would provide me a room down the road. I selected the Raphael because it was a 4 star hotel in a great location. They gave me a 3 star hotel down the road a mile. I understand mistakes happen. I was treated like I shouldn't be surprised that they didn't have a room and that I should be happy they were willing to put me up somewhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They may be a 4 star hotel but their customer service was definitely budget hotel quality.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we loved it. The suite was very spacious and nice. All of the staff was extremelly nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. The restaurant has excellent food. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or just to stay on business.

The Raphael, claiming to be among the best, is a huge disappointment. The rooms are not charming, they're simply outdated. Housekeeping possibly isn't to blame for the mold in the grout. The tiles need to be completely removed. The "window" in the bathtub was blocked by some plastic apparatus that gave me the feeling of having a too-close neighbor. The bed linens are poly. The bedspreads should be replaced with clean, cotton duvets. The pillows are hard. The furniture is veneered. Pick something else. Anything else should be an improvement!
