The best part of this hotel was the fact that it was one of the lowest prices but it was right on the beach and right next to Kapiolani Park. The room was more than I expected with a kitchenette and more than ample space. The only thing that I had a problem with is that 2 double beds pushed together doesn't count as a queen! We asked for another room with a queen which they said was only available by request which online travel website didn't tell us when we chose queen bed. They moved us promptly to a new room the next day that had two doubles pushed together again but with a queen headboard; WOW! The view was better though so we left it at that; besides we didn't go to Hawaii to sit in our room. The flight and hotel arrangements went smooth though besides the room situation. Would recommend this hotel because it is on the beach and it isn't as crowded as the other hotels on the beach which are in downtown Waikiki. The hotel is also about a 5 minute walk from the zoo and the aquarium and only about 8-10 min from downtown Waikik and you can walk right along the beach or through the park so it is a pleasurable walk. Oh and hotel service was very friendly and quick. Restaurants in the hotel are really expensive though; even for Waikiki.

This hotel has a nice beach, but is a bit of a walk from the strip, which may be unsafe at night. It has no pool but nice rooms, and only valet parking is available.

This is a nice property, at the zoo end of Waikiki so it is not right in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Rooms are good sized and tastefully furnished. You can enjoy a great beach, and swimming and surfing by walking out your door. They also have a great restaurant for lunch, where you can sit and watch the beach. What's unfortunate is when you compare it to the jewel it used to be. It just needs regular maintenance and care. Staff is friendly and helpful here.

It makes me sad to realize the number of stars I used to give to this hotel, and the number of stars it earns now. It's sad to see a property with a great location, that used to have such great service, and now is so in need of upgrading and care. If you stay here now, you are likely to have complaints and be disappointed
