We stayed at The Muse after the online company called to tell us constuction was going on at our first choice and we really lucked out. The location is perfect,You walk to the corner and you are in TimesSquare. The beds and bedding are luxurious. The rooms are big and the bathrooms have great toiletries. The place we first booked had scaffolds all around it and was very noisy so we were very happy we got to stay at the Muse. And if you are someone who has never been to the city(we were a few women from tennessee) you can't go wrong.

Our family stayed at The Muse Dec 21st - 24th and we were exceptionally pleased with the hotel and the location. From check-in to check-out everything at The Muse was as a hotel should be. The whole staff was attentive and very friendly. It was so nice to see the check-in staff taking care of a guest's puppy while they were out. We had 2 rooms and both were clean and very nicely appointed. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. My boys and I liked the L'Occitane citrus scented soap so much, my wife bought us some when we got home. We wull be back.

Went to New York for the first time for my 30th birthday, always seen it in films and always wanted to go, just as i imagined out of this world without a doubt. the muse hotel was picked by my wife what a choice 100yards from times square 300yards from 5th avenue. this hotel could not do enough we arrived about 5pm just in time for the wine reception as we checked in. the entrance and reception nice peaceful and relaxed lovely decor, as my wife said goood enough for alex cuuran good enough for her. went to our room on the 6th floor again lovely decor throughout into the room what a room amazing all the usual things you would find in a four star hotel but verging close to five for me. when you wake in the mornin the new york times at your door go down for breakfast service first class without a doubt everything is taken care of. our heating system broke down on the second day i went to speak to reception and without any hesitation the concierge (Nick, if you need or want to know anything he is your man) was packing our bags onto a trolley and moving us to the 15th floor, what a room sun terrace, view over times square twice the size as our other room as i said everything taken care of nothing was an hassle at all. i got to know Nick over the next few days top guy thanks for your help he kept us right on where to go and what to look out for and what subway to get. The hotel can sort you out with tickets for shows bashetball baseball they are more than willing to help and to make sure your stay is hassle free and enjoyable, they really could not do enough i would recommend the muse hotel to anyone without a doubt, I didnt want to leave our flight was pretyy early and i asked my new friend Nick about getting to the airport and he said for 75$ i will get you picke up at the door and dropped of at the airport for 5 in the morning in a nice car, and true to his word what a car a GMC blacked out jeep with everything a bit like a lincoln navigator, as i keep saying hassle free everything taken care off. if your planning a trip tp New York stay here you will not be disappointed at all.
So to the staff thanks for looking after us
and to Nick cheers mate for the tips and pointing us in the right direction thanks

The heat was broken in this room and many others for two of our three days. So we were cold most of the time. They gave us ONE extra blanket when we asked. There were two of us and two beds for a reason. Then on the day we were due to leave, the toilet was backed up and not usable. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, the table was wobbly, they had an obvious cheap and shoddy mend to the porcelain bathtub and they only gave one bar of soap and shampoo/conditioner for two people to use for three days! They had no computer access for anyone who did not bring their own laptop. While the location was good, it was not worth the money. So, I would not stay there again, nor could I recommend anyone else to do so either. The staff were friendly and courteous, but they apparently don't commuicate well with their fellow workers. What you ask on one shift does not translate into action for the next. In fact, they act as though they never heard the requests before!

Fun with kids too

We stayed for a two night 3 day NYC blitz with our two children, age 6 and 11. The Hotel was great location, we had a room with 2 double beds that fit us well. We didn't interact with the staff that much, but they were very helpful when we did. The hotel is a half block from Times Square, and the location is perfect for starting a sight seeing adventure in any direction. There was a great deli / restuarant on the same block heading away from Times Square that offered good food at excellent value, for breakfast and lunch. The 5 pm wine hour was enjoyable, the kids enjoyed resting, watching TV up in the room while we enjoyed some nice vino, courtesy of the Muse. The room was clean, and the furniture funky. We got a lot of positive comments about the hotel when sharing photos with others.
For the money, it was nice to stay in a hotel of this quality.

The Muse is a beautiful hotel with exemplary service! The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable and every creature comfort you may need has been provided. Every employee is responsive to any concern or question you may have.

The only con to this hotel was bad water pressure. I am not sure if they were renovating (my visit was towards the end of July) which may have caused the problems. The hotel is very expensive, however it would be worth it if they fix the water pressure.

The location is incredible, right next to Time Square. It is down the street so there is not a lot of light or noise, but a quick walk brings you to experience all of the fun of the night life of New York City.

pros: Close to everythingThis hotel is in the middle of anywhere you need to get to in the city. It's a small boutique hotel, which is very trendy and cute. The rooms are spacious, with beautiful clean bathrooms (which always are important factors in a Hotel Room). It's close to Times Square, which means near all transit. Even though I've stayed there in the Winter, when I was inside, I always felt like I was in a South Beach little Hotel...

The Muse was a great choice for visiting mid Manhattan. We happened to get a very reasonable rate (although most of the time the rates are a bit too expensive). The service from the front desk and bellhop was excellent. The restaurant needs some improvement. The menu was very limited, uninteresting and overpriced. The complimentary wine hour was a nice touch. We had a corner room, which was relatively quiet and had nice views. The decor was great. There is a deli on the corner of 46th and Sixth (Europa Cafe) that is good for a quick breakfast. There is also a more modern coffee shop north a block or two on Sixth -- on the east side of Sixth with a variety of coffees and also has chia tea. Theaters are all within walking distance. The same day half price ticket booth is just a few blocks away.
