That being said, the hotel has suffered for the past couple of years as it was clear that some freshening up was needed (the rooms were beginning to look a little worn). Now that the hotel has changed hands, it is clear that much-needed improvements are being made. During our stay, workers were renovating the rooms on 3 floors of the 10-floor tower. It was not terribly disruptive, and I'm glad it is happening as the next time we stay I expect the rooms to be cleaner & more comfortable. The public areas are lovely and welcoming, as are the employees. We so enjoy the quiet beach and small pool and our daughter participated in the dolphin program this time - a true treat! The room was large and well furnished. The other facilities (gym, pool, restaurants) were excellent.
