There was a great breakfast and the staff was amazingly friendly. Great hotel for the value! We often left my son in the room until later in the afternoon and the room was still cleaned daily. Highly recommend. The club show(jazz) in the adjoining RItz was great!

Ibervillle suites was a beautiful hotel, in a quiet part of the quarter, but very convenient to Bourbon, Royal and Canal Sts. Great free breakfast, excellent room, and the hotel staff was helpful and courteous.

As far as the cleanliness of the hotel, my room was very clean. However, my mother's room next door had mildew in the shower and an empty dirty box in a drawer. The people at the desk were very friendly, the valet guys were a little less professional, yelling loudly to one another. The hotel charged us for three movies (which we did not order- two were ordered when we were at dinner and one was ordered when we were asleep), and $90 worth of items from the Ritz Carlton (which we did not buy- $50 was supposedly spent at 4:00 AM when we were asleep, and $30 worth of the items was spent AFTER we checked out and were on the road home). I will NOT stay here again.

With the price of all other hotels

With the price of all other hotels going up because of Bayou Classic, when I found this one for under $ a night, I thought that it would not be as nice as the others. I quickly change that thought opon entry. The room was really nice, free valet 24 hour valet parking was really great and saved us another $20 - $30. The staff was really great. There was no need for wrist bands like many others have resulted too. The atsmosphere was very classy, with a mixture of antique and modern furnishings made this place great for a weekend getaway.

The hotel is in an excellent location downtown New Orleans near Bourbon Street. You are within walking distance to most downtown attractions. It's kind of tricky though to get to the hotel (located behind The Ritz Carlton). The rooms were ok. I expected plusher bedding, softer towels & updated TVs being that it was rated a 4 1/2 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are also parking lots within walking distance to the hotel that you may want to consider.I guess for the price that I paid, it was ok. I will consider staying there again because I like the fact that it was off the main street but you were still within walking distance.

The staff at the Iberville made all the difference. The room was very good to excellent.
The location in the corner of the French Quarter was ideal, but it was the staff that made our stay excellent. Always helpful, they were even instrumental in our obtaining tickets to the Saints Packers Monday night football game. Need anything, just ask, you might be surprised.
The included extended continental breakfast was a real bonus as well.

I chose this hotel because of the low

I chose this hotel because of the low price that I got for a 4-star hotel , plus the fact that it adjoined the Ritz Carlton and thus had access to Ritz's indoor swimming pool. Overall I had a great stay, though the indoor swimming pool was a disappointment: it turned out that I had to pay $12 extra per day for access to the fitness center and pool, and the pool was a small resistance pool which I didn't like using at all so I did not return on the following days. All rooms in the hotel seem to have identical interior design and they do not price-differentiate between rooms with view and non-view. It is essential to request a room with a street view on a high floor (I stayed on the 9th floor, above 8th should be good), otherwise you would face a broken down garage building if you are on the lower floors, or a small bare inner courtyard and wall if you don't have a street view. From the high floors you have a view of the roofs of the French quarter and a bit of the Mississippi river, which I enjoyed. The pull-out sofa bed in the entry area is standard and not very comfortable; the king bed was a good size though not with a very thick luxurious mattress as I've seen in other 4-star hotels, so I'd really give this hotel a 3-and-a-half star rating. There is an OK standard bathroom and the included breakfast buffet with waffles was nice. I'd stay there again for a low enough price and provided I won't have to sleep on the pull-out sofa.

This place is run by the same folks who run the Ritz-Carlton, and it's actually in the same building, but with an entrance 'round the back on Iberville instead of Canal. The building is an old department store, remodeled into hotels, but except for a suprfluity of display windows along the side, you wouldn't know it.
For some unexplained reason, they initially put us in a handicapped suite, which had lots of extra room in the toilet and shower, but LESS room to sit at a desk in the main area. We asked to be moved to a standard room, which was actually more comfortable and convenient.
Like most downtown hotels, they charge a lot for the room, and then pile it on by charging additional for parking and internet service. If you want a room in the Quarter and you're on an expense account, I recommend the Iberville . If you're paying your own way, stay somewhere else and take the streetcar downtown.
