We will also recommend it to friends. The hotel and restaurant staff were accommodating and friendly. Everything was clean. Check in was easy and as it was Friday night, the piano bar was busy - the music was great - not too loud and we could not hear it from our room. We enjoyed the pool with our grandchildren. We also enjoy the easy access to nearby restaurants and the Vancouver Mall. Our only complaint was with the Tempure mattresses that we chose when picking a room. We would not choose them again. Price for value was very very good. However, I would be more direct with them over the phone and in person. They were nearly sold out when we got there (a wedding party) and we didn't get the room we were promised on the phone. They tried to accommodate us with the only other room available in the place, but even with a 10% discount, it put us over budget. The staff was really swamped with the wedding, I can see how mistakes happen and when I realized that the discount did not wind up on our final bill, we were already back home and I just decided to let it go... I figure I'll bring it up again if we ever have occassion to use them again (I hope we do). We stayed in a standard room, which I would not recommend. The lodge tried to give an overall feel of elegance, but failed in the standard room. The bed was uncomfortable and bounced whenever you turned over. Made for a bad nights sleep. I will say the staff was accommodating and helpful. The lounge however closes at 10:45, which for a Friday night seemed quite early. This restaurant was very good though. Stayed with the family while on a ski trip to Mt. Hood. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.They answered all questions and were accommodating with any request. The lodge is 10 years old but looks new. Spa, Heated pool,sauna and workout area were an added plus. Loved the wood decor. It felt like you were in the deep woods. Alot has changed with the surroundings. There are more businesses and more traffic but it's nice to have shopping close by. The tempurpedic mattresses today were heaven! We had brunch on Saturday morning and the server was very nice and bubbly but she forgot to put our order in. She apologized and put it in right away and we got our food right away. The lobby and the decorations were beautiful! (7 years) The kids love the pool and spa and look forward to them every year. The staff is allways very friendly and go out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They know we stay there every year and make us feel welcome. Our family usually take 3 to 4 rooms each year. We usually eat 3 to 4 meals at the restaruant and are allways pleased. We called in to reserve a suite and when we got there we got upgraded into a bigger suite when they heard what the occasion was. Then, when we got to the room there was rose petals and a bottle of wine compliments of the girls at the front desk. Went to dinner in Hudson's and split the steak and the seafood ravioli.
