The Gage Hotel is a very interesting restored hotel in Marathon TX, a tiny town on the way to Big Bend National Park. The rooms are decorated ranch style, with wooden floors. It's pretty pricey, and the restaurant there is very expensive, but it's a unique experience. The customers are very loyal. Some come back year after year and stay in a particular room that they prefer. Also, there are not many other nice options near Big Bend.

The Gage Hotel is a very cool old hotel in Marathon. Some rooms have a bathroom and others have one located down the hall. Either way, they are very nice. Not televisions in the room. I highly recommend this place for a night or two.

Also has a very good restaurant and bar.

I loved the ambiance and history of The Gage. The personnel were outstanding. The only thing that was a downer was the trains coming by every hour and blowing their whistle at the nearby intersection. However, it did add to the charm!
