Clean.Gougers, inconvenient, nothing

Clean.Gougers, inconvenient, nothing near by and few dining options.“Terrible location, parking prices excessive (valet only?). Paid a bit less to park across the street, but have to repay daily rate every time you want to leave, and when there are virtually no restaurants within walking distance, this was a major pain. Hot tub was dirty and was like a chemical bath. Unlike many other hotels I have stayed at, internet was not free (unless you went down to the lobby). There was an automatic charge to our room for newspaper delivery which we promptly canceled once we realized that they do this.”

I decided to take my grandchildren to

I decided to take my grandchildren to Tarpon Springs to visit relatives for a couple of days between Christmas and New Years. Since they had never visited Florida in December I decided to treat them as my 6 year old grandaughter said "a fancy hotel." It was beautiful they had a big Christmas tree in the lobby, which she took plenty of pictures with her new camera. We got there late and was very tired. The lady at the front desk greeted us, checked us in and seemed to notice that I needed to feed the kids. She pointed to a resturant that was on the other side of the lobby and told me that I could take the kids over there, a sportbar type resturant for something quick to eat. They loved the big screen TV and the fact that they could go inside a grown up looking resturant and I was glad too because I didn't have to go somewhere else to feed them. We went to our room to put our things down and the room was very nice and the view was breath taking. After a quick snack we sat out on the balcony for at least an hour taking in the view and everyday while we were there. The beds were great and so comfortable. Also we left our bag with toothpaste and brushes at home I called the front desk and they brought some up instantly, I was so thankful. I loved the fact that they had a Starbuck inside the hotel also. I will send all my clients to this hotel when they are staying in the Tampa Bay area.

Our room overlooked the forum so we could sit out on our balcony and see everyone arrive and then after the concernt no fighting the traffic could watch everyone sit in thier cars for an hour waitng to get out of parking lot. Hotel had great pool area and fitness center. The woman who checked us in was very nice

Terrible Customer Service

I was visiting from out of town for a friends wedding and when we first arrived my family was greeted by a valet attendent cursing at another valet about a customer who just left...right in front of our two young daughters! The bellman was slow and unwilling to go above and beyond to assist with our children, and when it was time to leave the valet walked to get our cars. What happened to customer service in this town?

This is a lovely hotel with a nightmare

This is a lovely hotel with a nightmare neighbor called Jackson's Bar and Grill. If you stay at this location be sure to forgo the water view and ask for a room on the north side of the building. Jackson's starts playing very loud music at 11:00pm on Friday and Saturday nights and it continues till 2:45am. Calls to the front desk about the noise are only passed on to the police after many complaints. Be warned the music from Jackson's is VERY LOUD.

When in tampa it is a Must Stay!

My whole experience was much more then expected. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff went out of their way to make my stay exceptional. The restraurants are a little pricey and some of the wait staff could use a little attitude adjustment but all in all it is a must stay. The renovation was outstanding and you would think you are in a brand new hotel. My stay was one of the best in a long time. This hotel is in a very convenient location to many attractions. My next trip to Tampa will be for pleasure and you can bet this is the only place I will stay.

All Review Photos The Marriott Water

All Review Photos The Marriott Water side is a very beautiful, luxurious and very expensive hotel. The rooms are just lovely and the hotel opens into a lovely riverfront promenade. At least half the rooms have balconies overlooking the Tampa Bay or the city. There is also a marina for boaters, outdoor heated pool, three restaurants and a fully equipped spa. Although this hotel is very expensive it is definately worth it. After all you only live once, and if you do not treat yourself. Who will?

Home Away From Home

pros: Atmosphere, Quality Service, Pleasant StaffI LOVE THIS HOTEL. I stay here for three nights, once a year, for an Anime Convention called Metro-Con and this place is perfect, it is right across the street from the side entrance of the Tampa Convention Center. The beds are comfy and always clean. The service is excellent and the staff are so pleasant! The hotel has a nice view of the area (the city at night is breath taking) and a pool on one of the roofs (I forget which floor exactly). I am a teenager so businesses expect me to cause trouble but when I am there both my mother and I are treated with equal respect. I am, of course, too young to know anything about the bars or anything but I know that the place is spotless, elegant and the staff are welcoming. The price is kinda high for a lower middle class budget but it is not unreasonable for the quality of service you are getting. If I could afford to stay all the time I would move in!
