AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST

I DISLIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MOTEL. I would not ever ever recommend this particular Super 8 Motel to anyone.
The hallways and rooms had the same musty odor. Dust was everywhere and you could not see the vents they were so clogged with so much dust. The motel had one iron and ironning board in the snack room next to the lobby. The iron and board were very dirty and they had nerve to secure the iron with a chain.

I want to give a score of zero but unfortunately that is not possible. I slept in my clothes to make sure my body did not touch the bed.

The MOTEL 8 should be RENOVATED or CLOSED Down.

I enjoyed my stay there. I did not like that the pool light was floating in the pool and it was not attached as it should have been and a lot of debris was in the water. But the staff and the housekeeping were perfectly fine.

We stayed here for 6 days in a non smoking room. The room was nice and no odors of smoke and it was quiet. It was cleaned daily. I liked that we had a refrigerator and microwave in our room. We were in an excellent location as I was only a very short distance from the airport. The staff was very very nice and very considerate. The price was also excellent as we opted for the weekly rate. Will definately stay there again and again.

Just horrible!

We checked in approx. 9pm. left right away to get something to eat. Came back approx. 10pm. pulled back covers on the bed, bedbugs! We could not get our money back until we "produced" the bug..they couldn't find it at first..then they said they would give us another room, to which we said absolutely not.. if you have them in one room, they most certainly are in the rest of the rooms, so they said they would give us 'half' our money back for a room we were NOT staying in. After arguing with the desk clerk, we ended up calling Shreveport Police, who immediately came. He went with desk clerk to the room and they found the bugs, needless to say we were given our money back immediately!! The place is filthy, bugs in the ceiling of the elevator, room was NOT vacuumed which looked like in weeks..phone had bare wires coming out of it, there was a huge hole in the wall. My pillow looked like it had used linens on it. There was a couple fighting, screaming loudly in their room, a girl got on the elevator with us, just couldn't catch her breath because someone was chasing her, and she was clearly upset, and hollered at the desk clerk about who it was chasing her. Not a good place to stay. When we first got there, we were in a hurry to get something to eat being it was so late, otherwise, we would have seen all this before, and not have stayed even the one hour that we were there....which was one hour too long! Stay away! worst place I ever seen in my life! disgusting!

Undergoing Improvements

I liked the location next to I-20, the fairly comfortable room, the good coffee, the low ($35.00) rate, the attractive lobby, and the fact that the hotel is being renovated.

I disliked the rather rundown look of the place (which seems as though that's about to be rectified), the industrial-looking area, and the disappointing breakfast (donuts and bread w/juice & coffee).

For a quick stopover this place is okay. After the fix-up it will probably be a lot better.

Customer service is terrible. The smell is undescribable. Shower liners can be purchased at a dollar store...but here the liners are stained and molded. Carpet sticks to you. Sheets are stained, torn and disgusting. If white bread and old donuts sound good-have breakfast here! Don't do it.

The location was across town from my reunion, but was next to the airport for those that fly. The staff was very friendly at check-in.
