Horrible maid service, pool was hardly ever clean, not family friendly--especially on weekends with a party crowd that comes in. The office leaves at 5:00 so if you lock your key inf your room, or need toilet paper or towels you are out of luck. If you have to leave early they will not refund your money and even if you are dissatisfied they will not refund your money. This motel is old and outdated. Its a shame, because it was a nice resort, now the Ocean Waters Corporation is letting it go downhill. The manager is nice and reasonable, but the office staff is rude and degrading. The hotel charged me when it was a pre-paid reservation, so I was double billed as they said I didn't cancel; but you can't cancel if no one is at the desk to tell. I had to go stay at another property, which was more costly as I had booked this reservation months before. I wasn't expecting a great hotel, but clean is always expected. I checked in on a Saturday and no one cleaned my room until Monday after that they cleaned each day . It's cheap for a reason folks! The second I arrived, the magnager was even rude. The attendant answering the phone and in the lobby was rude. They just seemed to be miserable people. When I ran out of towels I had to pester room service more than twice in one day to come to my room. The only nice person that I met at this resort was the cleaning man, he was very pleasant and he seemed to have the worse job there. I think that's saying something. The people in surrounding rooms were rude. If I said anything to anyone, like a "hello!"there would be no response as if they were better then me. I am very disappointed and never staying here again. Rooms are spacious, floors are grimey. It was clean and we never had any major problems. The property has been under new management for the past two years. We did not stay there last year, but decided to give it a try this year. When we arrived our non-smoking room smelled of smoke and a cigarette was left in the toilet. I was concerned that the room had not been cleaned, but was told that the housekeeper probably left the cigarette. Our air conditioner went out that night and we had to go buy a fan. No one showed up to fix it the next morning as promised. The staff on duty that morning accused us of having our room door open when she arrived that morning. We were asleep with the room locked at the time in question. My husband corrected her and we were given a new room later that day. Most days housekeeping did not clean our room or make our beds, they would leave clean towels on top of the toilet. One day, they did not even come by at all.
