Nice, quiet and close to the Swedish hospital

Our room was on the 4th floor, and was very quiet. I especially liked the free breakfast, good food,a nice pleasant trip. Parking was tight with large vehicle, but go slow and it worked out fine.

Front Office Manager very rude!

The hotel was great but the front office manager Tammy was very rude and didn't treat her fellow co workers nicely. For such a great hotel with a great resturant she is a horrible asset to have. Other then that nice room and great food.

Just ok...needs some cleaning

This could be a nice place with good value...not a bad location. But, it wasn't very clean. When I walked down the hall to my room I saw some debris on the floor (glob of string plus other stuff) then when I entered my room more junk on the floor (gum wrapper near the bed, some cardboard bits near the dresser, previous guest left her shoes under/near the bed). The next day when I went to check out the string was still on the floor in the hallway.

My suggestion to the hotel manager: 1) Buy a vacuum cleaner and 2) insist that the staff use it. Periodic checks of the premises wouldn't hurt either.

Wonderful Hotel

What is not to like about the hotel I am sure everybody has bad stays once in awhile but the staff goes above and beyond. The restaurant Cayenne was sceptical the name because I don't like hot spicy food and the menu has a wide variety also the specials were wonderful as well. My son wanted a the kids cheese pizza we were told they were out so the new Chef whipped up some sauce and delivered it personally to our table my son said it was the best cheese pizza ever. Will stay again!!!

Father in-law loves this hotel

pros: Makes my father in-law happy, easy payment method, free breakfast, free wireless internet, free shuttle service.I own a restaurant on the hill, and I reserve at least 25 rooms a year for friends and family at the Silver Cloud Hotel on Broadway Avenue. Every room that I reserve, my wife and I pay for the rooms. I have used the credit card form that janzimmerly speaks of in her review, and it was a bit confusing. I faxed over my credit card form to the hotel, and the Assistant General Manager called me right away and told me that he could not read the number on my credit card and could not read my license. He asked me to email him the form, and it worked perfectly. The Assistant General Manager told me that in this day an age of identity theft and fraud, the Silver Cloud hotel wants to make sure that every credit card form is correct and secure. At first, I thought it was a waste of time, but now I see that it was for my benefit.

I started using the Silver Cloud in 2005. The hotel was a great price and offered good services that my guests would take advantage of. They offer free breakfast, shuttle, and internet. The shuttle service has changed, it used to go anywhere you wanted to go, but now it only stops at certain places. Lucky for us that we live across the street from Providence hospital, so they drop off our guests at the hospital. My father in-law is from New York, and he is very critical of the service industry. He used to complain about the Silver Cloud hotel, but within the past couple years he?s been telling me how nice the hotel is and how the service has improved remarkably. I don?t know what has happened in the past 2 years, but whatever it is, it?s made my life easier not having to listen to my father in-law complain about the hotel service at the front desk. I almost switched to reserving our rooms to the Sheraton in 2006, I am glad that I didn?t. If the Silver Cloud keeps offering good customer service, we will always reserve our rooms there.

Please don?t let us down, keep up the great customer service. Thank you Silver Cloud!

We love this hotel, BUT...

The parking was a little tricky to find and figure out, BUT the hotel upgraded us to a wonderful room we LOVED it. Very Clean and quiet, would definately stay there again. BUT, the Cayenne restraurant, we ate dinner at one night. We ordered Carne Asada, it was the dryest meat I ever ate, couldn't eat it. It was horrible!!!

I've stayed here on several occasions & have never been disappointed. The rooms are always spotless and the service top-notch.
I've stay both on business & with my family and will definately stay again.
Parking rates were actually very reasonable compared to some of their competaters who where charging upwards of $20/night just to park!

My Seattle Destination Hotel!

Love the location adjacent near Starbucks, Tully's and great local nightlife. A brisk walk and I'm in the heart of downtown without the heart of downtown prices. Amenities are good.

Shuttle Service

Stayed at this Hotel during October 2007.
Everything was satisfactory except the Shuttle Service. Based on the Shuttle Services advertised, we elected not to rent a car.

The Shuttle was good for going places, there are five regular stops. Getting back to the hotel proved a problem however. The first night we asked for a pickup and were told 25 minutes. After 45 minutes, we called again and was told the driver had come by twice and we were not there, which wasn't true. We were then told the driver was on dinner break and that it would be another hour. After some tense words, he did show up in another 20 minutes. Another time we called for a pickup and were told 15 minutes. After 1/2 hour we called again and were told he would come pick us up which he did. Both times involved the same driver.

Its a nice hotel and is reasonably priced but don't count on being picked up in a reasonable time. Another option is a taxi or walking, but its a long walk and uphill all the way.

This Silver Cloud is located next to

This Silver Cloud is located next to Seattle University, the visit was to drop my daughter off at school. We had noticed the hotel on a previous trip, and decided to book here due to its proximity, which seemed like the major advantage.Turns out, the hotel is very comfortable, well kept, and well staffed with the nicest people (everyone from check -in to the shuttle driver were great) and generally a very satisfying experience. The big bonus was the free shuttle service. Seattle is a busy town, and driving can take some of the enjoyment out of the visit. The shuttle, with frequent departures and pick-ups virtually eliminated the need to drive. We will definitely stay here next time.
