The hotel is about a 20 minute ride

The hotel is about a 20 minute ride from Boston's North Station ($18 return). The hotel has a free shuttle to the Wakefield commuter rail station. After waiting 20 minutes to take a cab from the Wakefield station at 12:30 a.m. we decided to drive into Boston for the 2nd day in town. The hotel was very clean and has underdone a recent renovation. The front desk staff was very helpful in suggesting ways to get into town and giving us directions for restaurants etc. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is pretty quiet with only a Dunkin' Donuts and a gas station convenience store for food options besides the hotel restaurant. We booked directly with the Sheraton website and found a rate that was $30 cheaper than any other site. A great place to stay if you don't mind a 20 minute ride into Boston.

The hotel is about a 20 minute ride from Boston's North Station ($18 return). The hotel has a free shuttle to the Wakefield commuter rail station. If you are taking a late night train back to the Colonial expect to pay about $12 to take a taxi back to the hotel since the hotel shuttle doesn't run late night. After waiting 20 minutes to take a cab from the Wakefield station at 12:30 a.m. we decided to drive into Boston for the 2nd day in town. We parked the car for the entire day in Cambridge at the Cambridgeside Galleria for $20 and took the Green Line T to Fenway. The hotel was very clean and has underdone a recent renovation.
I would never stay here again

When we arrived the shuttle was no where to be found. They could not locate the driver so we had to take our car to the commuter rail and just barely made it to the train in time. When we got back at 9pm, our room was still not ready, in fact it was occupied even though we had made reservations days prior with a confirmation number. The halls were always dirty and youth were noisy and running all over the place. The rooms were supposedly "recently rennovated" but if they were- they need a new decorator. It's nothing like the pictures on the website. The restaurant was the only decent part of this hotel. I simply would never stay here again.

Great hotel

This hotel was just redone and looked beautiful. The price is very fair and the location is pretty good. Also, while staying at the hotel, guests get membership to the Boston Sports Club. This was really great because my kids got to swim in a huge pool while me and my husband got a chance to work out. Even though the club isn't inside the hotel, it is only about a 5-8 minute walk away.

On the down side, the room was very noisy at night. Hotels really should have soundproof walls because at around 11:00 I heard a couple getting intimate. This is not something you want to hear when you have young children with you. Also, there was some commotion in the hallway in the morning which woke me up. The noise was annoying but most hotels are like that. No one can really do anything about guests making noise so, I don't blame the hotel. I would definitely come back.

Worst Wedding Anniversary

I was really disappointed in this hotel. When you walk in it looks beautiful and the land is nice but 1. The toilet moved each time I use the bathroom, 2. they had no smoking rooms and they should make this clear online. 3. gave me and my husband a hard time because we wanted to order food from outside delivery. 4. I am an asthamtic and they never told us that they were painting so all night I had to keep using my asthma pump. 5. There was a sign that you could have no alcohol in your room and it was our anniversary! 6. They also had no dvd player that you could use (and tv so old that you could not hook one to it.) 7. It took 20 -25 minutes for the water to get hot for me to take a bubble bath. I have stayed in a Sheraton hotel in the past it was nice this was the worst hotel and it's looks was good but the rest sucked! They really need to do some up grades in the past it probably was nice but it really suck for us my husband tried not to complain while we were there but once we got home all he said was never again at a hotel Sheraton.

Sparse amenities. NO WIRELESS, no

Sparse amenities. NO WIRELESS, no internet at all without paying additional fees. Hard to believe in 2007. I hadn't even looked for this option because it is so fundamental now. No breakfast other than an apple and coffee in your room. The onsite restaurant was available but, again, it costs extra.Otherwise, very clean room, with a great, comfortable bed. Incredibly easy access to the interstate.

We had a lovely time in boston. Stayed at sheraton colonial hotel and club. Loved the location and the city itself, which was wakefiield. It was right off the freeway, very convenient to get on and off freeway. Very easy to get around.Employees were nice and helpful. Stayed for 8 days. Didn't have a single problem. Except the disney channel and one other channel didn' work, so they gave us a free movie to wach, since those two channels weren't available. Very easy company to deal with. Want tot thank the hotel for giving us a wonderful service. Thank you, rose

Our stay at this hotel was a wonderful

Our stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. It was our first visit to the Boston area so we had no clue on what to do or how to get around. Once we got to our hotel that was no longer a problem. The staff gave us ideas and led us in the right direction to make our stay as wonderful as can be.
We sure had a good nights sleep. The room was very roomy and clean and the bed was hard to get out of because it was very comfortable.
We ordered room service one night while we were there and in a snap there was a knock at the door and there it was.
Our stay was a difinate pleasure and we can't wait to visit the area sometime soon !!!

The first thing is that when we checked

The first thing is that when we checked in they took us to room that was smaller than my bathroom at home. And we told them that we had an infant and needed a crib, fridge, & microwave. There wasn't enough room to put those 3 things in there and walk around. So we went to the front desk and they did upgrade us to a suite (for a small fee, of course). I don't know where the travel agent got the pictures of this hotel but the rooms look nothing like the photos they have. And we had a remodeled room. The bathroom was a small closet. You could use the bathroom, stick you feet in the tub, & brush your teeth all at the same time. There was a large spring sticking out of the mattress that I cut my let on several times. And it was in the middle of a (so called) upgrade and it was noisy and just a mess outside. The food - we won't even go there. Horrible and horribly expensive. There is no restaurants around the hotel. You have to drive if you want to eat. But you can hop right onto the highway from their front door. The fitness center is AWESOME! It has nothing to do with the hotel. It is the Boston Sports Center and is located behind the hotel BUT there is only certain times that you could go there to enjoy the pool. The staff was friendly and sorta helpful. Overall we definitely would NOT stay there ever again and they will be getting a letter from us! Don't stay there.
