However, I was on the phone with the MOD at 3:00am, advising that I would be checking out a day early and I would appreciate a rate adjustment. The bedding was poor, the mattress was terrible, I actually woke up with back/neck discomfort. The thermostat would not regulate, it turned off/on every 3-5 min b/c the entry door was not hung properly. The walls were so thin, I could hear the neighbors conversation (until 3:00am). Finally, upon waking from the 1 hour of sleep I did get, the housekeeping staff was having a great time cleaning rooms and yelling to one another from opposite rooms. Also, the floors in the room did not appear to have been cleaned after the prior guest. The staff did a good job of trying to compensate by adjusting my rate, however, I had a miserable stay and will not go back. The location is great for sight seeing downtown and access to LSU. They said (with an attitude) that the best they could do was give us some blankets for our kids to sleep on the floor. The management did response to this by upgrading our room.
